A staple of Monrovia. You don?t get more classic for breakfast and brunch (and they serve dinner too), than Jake?s!

Breakfast burrito the bomb, ask for the red salsa, it's perfect for the burrito.... very satisfying. I recently had a chicken... sandwich, it was juicy, brioche bun, 8oz chicken breast, juicy, lettuce and tomato, hit the spot...a must try if your a chickensandwich person...I came back to try a cheese burger, the picture speaks for itself, thick juicy beef patty on a brioche bun, this one had some hot peppers that gave good kick, avocado lettuce, tomato, all fresh....I was super stuffed and couldn'tbreathe, but it was worth it....a must try.... We really wanted to like this place given the reviews and the recommendation of a local, but we just didn?t. I?ll start off by... saying the servers were very friendly, attentive, and the food was out quickly. The onion rings were really good, they were thebest part of the meal. Awesome ranch dressing also (you know how that can be hit or miss). Two of our guests shared the 5sliders with pork and tri-tip. Both tasted good, however the onions kind of overpowered the tri-tip and the pork was chewy. TheMac n cheese really didn?t have much flavor, the noodles were pretty soggy and floppy. I had the pulled pork plate with coleslawand fries. Again, the pork was really chewy, but also dry, and there was very little of it. For $17 I got a plate overflowingwith fries and a side of pork. The coleslaw was fresh and tasted good, good fries. The bite of corn muffin that I had wasoverdone and dry as could be. My husband had the kickin chicken sandwich-it was supposed to be spicy and was not. Nothingspecial about it. The place is clean, there are neat signs and license plates all over the walls. However, we would not comeback. Read more

First time at Jake?s and we had a nice meal. Service was great! Portions are huge. Husband had the baby back ribs and said they... were great. I tried the smoked sausages, both Polish and Texas Spicy, and they were delicious. Lightly coated in bbq sauce andserved with onions. Read more

Arrived 5:35pm on Sunday 19 DEC and it was moderately busy inside. staff were all masked and other than taking orders and... delivering meals maintained their distance from others. I was seated promptly (table for 1) and the lady immediately took mydrink order before she left the table. Moments later another gentleman asked if he could get me a drink and I indicated thelady took my request for water just moments ago but could I also have a Passion Tea. Sure enough it was on the table inminutes. My server came a minute or so after that and took my order, paying close attention to my requests and repeated myorder back to me to be certain?spot on my friend?(1/2 rack baby backs w/sauce on the side and a baked potato w/butter & baconbits if they had them, and some coleslaw, please and thank you). Dinner was on the table, exactly as ordered in 11 mins fromordering! Dinner was delicious! Ribs done just right; easy enough to get them off the bone and full of good charred flavour. A touch of sauce on the side and they were perfect. The ?bacon bits? that went on my baked potato was nothing shy of 2 thickcut strips of bacon?no complaints here! Coleslaw was tangy and creamy?if I have to eat coleslaw this is the way I likeit! Service was incredibly attentive throughout my stay with water/tea refills being offered frequently and regular trips pastthe table had various servers and other staff asking if everything was good. A+ for attentiveness to the customer. Meal wasmoderately priced (quite reasonable for what I received) and I?m glad I ventured away from a typical chain restaurant fordinner. My fist time in Monrovia and my first dinner out in this area?definitely did not disappoint. Well done Jake?sRoadhouse ? I?ll definitely be returning. Thank you and merry Christmas / Happy Holidays! One of the best breakfast spots worth the 40 minute drive for me. Their lemon pancakes with raspberry butter and raspberry syrup... are ????????. We had their rib eye steak, home fries, and sunny side up eggs, scrabled eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns, Theircustomer service is great. Read more

Third and last time I attend this place. I believe it's the alcohol that keeps these customers coming back. You almost break... your teeth trying to scrape off any ribs off the beef ribs. Boiling pork ribs and then throwing them on the grill isn't smokingsorry horrible food Read more
