Unfortunately, the experience was going incredibly well to tell the truth. However, the waitress/owner of the establishment... ?Julie? was very clearly drunk, and overcharged for our items. Now normally this would be no issue, however after explainingthat we had an extra item added to our receipt, she went on a very loud yelling rant about how we are trash and couldn?tremember what we ordered. This of course embarrassed my group in front of the rest of the establishment, and we were promptlykicked out. I don?t normally call for this sort of action, but to be honest, she made my friend cry because of her lack ofprofessionalism. If Julie cannot remain professional during her shifts or at the very least remain sober, then she should notwork with costumers. Read more
I have been coming here for about 3 years and never had a problem. I have brought about 12 people to this establishment too. I... consider myself a pretty good customer. I even wrote a song for Julie and the wine bar. How I get treated is the last time I goin Julie tells me that she was told that I was banging my hand on the bar and yelling and screaming like some kind of luniticwhen there was a band playing there the week before or so. She said I terrified all of her staff. I told her this is absolutleynot true and that the drummer and the singer/sax guy and I were all talking after their set and everything was great. She saidshe has it all on camera and I asked to see it and prove it and she would not show me. She just yelled at me and talked verymean to me and told me to never come back. Just like that. Love this place! Honestly my favorite in old town monrovia. Small plates allow you to try and share many items on the menu.... Highlights are everything. But I constantly get steak crostini and Tuscan beef stew. Salmon last night was cooked toperfection. Read more
The owner of this place is just drunk and rude. The food is horrible and the service is worst. I ordered wine Togo and it was... $15. I went to the restaurant with my mom and it was $35.
