My boyfriend and his family have said amazing things about this place. We have been here several time because they have great... drinks. I was with them this past weekend and I lost my Apple Watch there. Growing up from the east side of the state? I thoughtit was gone forever. Lo and behold someone found it and Martin mailed it back to me. Martin the owner went above and beyond tohelp me in more ways than one! I will be telling people about this place for years to come! I was embarrassingly halted at the front door as I opened it. Literally, the employee held up her had to me as she walked... towards me, as my family was already at a table inside enjoying some beer. I had a service dog as well as my other small dogworn in a sling around my chest. The employee went on to say ?I can not let you in here?, as the entire bar is looking at me. Iexplained that my dog who was on a leash was a service dog, who was very clearly marked as such. The employee then said ?wellthe one on you isn?t?, so I replied fine I?ll stay outside. The situation could have been handled SO much better. Etiquette goesa long way, and service animals have a legal right to be inside establishments. I am shocked that my father, who is confined toa wheelchair, was allowed inside and wasn?t also halted at the front door. Read more
We stopped at Sawyer while on a bike tour through Montague. The brewery is so cute and the beer was great. We were a little... early for the live music, but it looked like it was going to be a good show. There was a food stand on the corner where webought lunch and took it into the brewery to eat with our beer. We will definitely go back. Check it out! Read more
We stopped here while in town. It's a lovely layout and a cozy atmosphere, even with a fireplace....via tv by some chairs. This... place is a great stop. One the people that frequent here are great. They were super open and welcoming. By the second visit, wefelt like they were going to be sad we had to return back home and would not be with them anymore. I'm introverted, so the factthat there are people I got to know is amazing and speaks highly of the town, and the atmosphere. This place had beers myboyfriend enjoyed. But they also had their own wines which is something that I wish they would incorporate where I live. Thewine was good, and didn't have too much of a punch. It was just good wine. On Sunday, there was musical entertainment, and shebrought her own donuts for everyone. That speaks volumes about this town and this place. It was also someone's birthday and wewere invited to celebrate with them. Eventually, the owner came out and sang his own version of Jingle Bells related to hisbusiness. It was hysterical and highly entertaining. I loved every single minute of it. This was a great stop and such ahighlight of our trip. Love it! Read more
Delicious drinks, good prices. The charcuterie board was insanely delicious too. I've been here a few times and can say the... people behind the bar can be a bit rude / snarky, so docking them a star for this. Also even sitting at the bar, we'd usuallyhave to ask for another round instead of being offered another round. Little service touches make all the difference. Read more
Awesome local brewery that also caters to the home brew crowd. They have kettles, a mill, and other brewing equipment that is... intended for home brew use. Although I am not a home brewer myself, this concept is ideal for beer lovers as well. With so manybrewers around, there is no room for subpar beer here. This environment also fosters innovation and experimentation. What agreat addition to the Whitehall/Montague area! Read more
In the area for a vacation, decided to try this place out for a quick drink. As soon as we walk in the door the employees were... giving us stink eyes, when getting our drink poured some lady helping us was hollering out at us to come to her to get ourdrinks acting like we are stupid, even though a good employee/bartender should bring the drink to the customer at the bar?
