Saw this place when we moved provinces last year. They were closed for the season. Finally got the chance to try it. Delicious... cheeseburger & fries. Healthy portions. Other people with me had...Hot chicken, crispy chicken burger, chicken wrap and BLTs;they look good too. Good $ value as well. Didn't try the dairy bar though. Maybe next time. Everything is ordered then broughtout to you. Only downfall is all containers, utensils, etc goes in waste and not compost or recycle. While the nostalgia is still there the great food isn't! Still an ok place to get a milkshake when they're actually open.

The only reason this place is still in buisiness is because of nostalgia, but it calling it a shell of its former self is would... be too much praise. It cost 41 dollars before tip for my wife and I to eat here, each got chicken burger and fries anddrink. Buns were dry and burger was small. Asked for chicken gravy as I can't eat beef, came back with dark gravy, when my wifeasked them about they said they used a beef stock. When we tried to get the gravy replaced,we were told we never asked forchicken gravy.... then asked if we wanted onion rings instead.... Don't ruin your childhood memories by coming to gillises now. Burger was dry and have very little flavor. Quite upset that I got just a half a strip of bacon on my Bacon cheeseburger. For... the burger, fries with gravy, and what they say is a medium drink, it cost 19cad. Not impressed Read more
Great aesthetic, amazing food, friendly staff. Lots of selection, and they offer car service as well! Love this place!
