The food is delicious! Everything is made fresh so the food isn't ready right away. It is however, definitely worth the short... wait. The service is great. Ordered a Grilled steak wrap combo which included a side to choose from salad, soup or fries. I chose Lentil Soup and wooow!!... The best lentils soup I have ever tried. I will come back only for the soup. The wrap was good in size and had great flavor too.The only reason I give 4 stars is because the meat was a little bit too hard for my taste but that could only be me. I highlyrecommend this place. A little gem in Montclair. Wish we had more authentic places like this in Montclair city. Ordered the zucchini chips & baba... ganoush appetizers....delish (no picture). My husband had the Cobb salad with grill chicken kabob. The salad was fresh and delicious with a perfect amount of vinegrette. I... had the grilled chicken pita minus the red onions and a bowl of lentil soup. Seriously the best pita with quality chicken I'veever had. The lentil soup was so good. Lentil soup is my favorite and usually I only eat my mom's but I'm so glad I tried ithere. Perfect portions of food and this place definitely beats the surrounding fast food places. The inside is super clean andso are the restrooms. We opted to eat outside in the little patio area, again very clean outside too. Also, the tea tastes greatand they have crushed ice! This is my new spot for lunch. I highly recommend you give this place a try, you won't bedisappointed. Update: Wrote this review 3 months ago and as of today we're still frequenting Cafe Moderno. This is a solid Mediterranean restaurant, one of several in Rancho. What?s unique about this place is the salad bar which has... some of the most flavorful and even a spicy salad. The grilled items I had were a bit over cooked but had good flavor. Overall Iwould definitely return to try their other grilled items and the yummy salad bar. Read more
