Very good Italian food and very friendly staff
The food is excellent, but the service is outstanding. They made my friends and I feel welcomed. The food portions were just... right, as they don't have exaggerate to make that a gimmick. Although they don't serve wine, they knew a place nearby where wecould purchase for our party. Overall, a wonderful experience. Read more
This BYOB is super cute!!! Roast Chicken Breast - Fresh herb roasted chicken breast over mashed potatoes with a lemon white... wine sauce OMG ???????????????????????? 10/10 was by far the most tastiest dish I’ve ever tasted ?????????? Chicken Parmesan- so good ???????????? spaghetti was perfect and the cheese was yummy 10/10 ?????????? This is a BYOB.. they do not serve anyliquor here. LOVEEEEEE THIS PLACE!!!! We had a great meal there last night! The service and food were excellent! The appetizer platter with clams, mussels, shrimp,... etc. was perfect and the shrimp fra diavolo was spicy and plentiful. A great find in upper Montclair! Read more
Made a reservation last week for my grandmas 78th birthday for a party of 10. I was the first one to arrive and was in complete... shock when I got there to a CLOSED RESTAURANT at 6pm!!! No call, no warning, no sign in the window. We were left scrambling toget to another restaurant for the special occasion. Would absolutely NOT recommend coming here ever after this experience. I ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and mushrooms. The waiter brought to us, the pizza with sausage and pepperoni. I... refused the pizza, and told the waiter I would prefer to have the pizza I ordered. A few minutes later, approximately 5-10minutes, the waiter brings the correct pizza. However, the mushrooms were not baked. Only to find out, after confirming with thewaiteress that they had plucked the pepperoni off of the pizza and put the mushrooms on the pizza. This is very unkempt, anddefinitely not a way to treat/serve a customer. If I was able to rate this a thumbs down, I would do just that.???????????????? Read more
This was my first time at La Couronne I was in a group of about 20 people. We all ordered off of the menus for our entree. An... antipasto, stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari and seafood salad were ordered in advance. All 4 were exceptional. I have never hadbetter fried calamari. For an entire I had the garganelli Bolognese. It was a red Bolognese sauce. I thought enjoyed it. Wewere all impressed that all of the food came out at the same time. Our wide variety of entre choices were enjoyed, withoutexception, all perfectly coordinated in the kitchen. The staff were professional and could not be more courteous. I will goback often! Read more
