Rib eye and asparagus were tasty. Pizza looked good. Tables are a little tight, calamari was disappointing.

Did you ever order a dish that was prepared so poorly that it made you not want to eat it again? That is precisely how I feel... about the special Risotto Aragosta con Porcini served on the evening of August 4th. Now don't get me wrong; I like butter asmuch as the next guy, but this dish was swimming in it. So much so that although I'm a non-drinker I was impelled to stealseveral swigs of my partner's Chardonnay, just to stomach the concoction. Note to chef: "Less is more." And to the owner, samegoes for the vastness of the restaurant, which should be renamed "Fa'Dario" as in "fabbrica," the Italian word for factory. Mypoor waiter must've accumulated 20,000 steps in the short time I was there. I used to really like Ca'Dario and I realize this isjust one dish, but I prefer dining in a more intimate space where more attention can be devoted to the diners and the cooking. Ialso have to wonder why, given the proximity of the farmer's market, Ca"Dario insists on serving mealy, washed out tomatoes fromVons. Read more

My favorite lunch in Montecito! It's become a Sunday afternoon tradition for my family--I'm in a deep ravioli rut :) Marko is... typically our server and is a nice and genuinely helpful guy. Good food, ample patio seating, and the best server in town...whocould ask for anything more? Read more

Fabulous! We've now been to every one of the Ca'Dario locations and we like then all but this is now our favorite. Great food... and service. We especially enjoyed our server Justin who we first met as a busser at the Goleta location but is now a server inMontecito. Read more

The service was lovely, very worth the price. The food was cooked perfectly. The lava cake tasted exquisite. The pear tart seems... dry and old. Read more

The place is nice and beautiful. Nice staff and waiters. The menu is not large, but there are specials of the day. I didn't... like the name of the pasta and I attach the photo to the reviews. This pasta was recommended to me by the waiter, I asked forsomething vegetarian. Pasta tastes awful. Read more

We stopped in on our first full day of vacation and the food/service was sublime. My wife and one of our traveling companions... are both Chefs, we went back for lunch again two days later and will return on our next trip out later this year. The localrose' was delicious, we went with the recommendations of our server, who spoke fluent Italian. Read more

This place shows some brilliance that is unsurpassed in Santa Barbara. The prosciutto fig and goat cheese was mind blowing in... both taste and texture. The smoke flavor was next level. The ravioli was equally impressive with the crispy sage on top. Ican’t say enough about these two dishes. The big disappointment was the pizza that was good but just didn’t reach the samelevel. Service was excellent and prices were Monticito-normal. Read more
