Great food! The owner brought our plates out, letting us know she makes all the sauces. The Alabama white sauce was unique and... yummy. The other sauces were phenomenal. The meat was tender, cooked perfectly and no funny after taste, if you know, you know.The sides were well made, with lots of flavor; creamy coleslaw, warm crunchy fries, sweet cornbread and pork rich beans. The brisket is outstanding! Moist and flavorful! They use genuine hickory to smoke and it shows. Loved the cornbread with honey... butter. The Mac and cheese is delicious as well. This was my first time here; it will be a regular stop from now on. I cannotrecommend this restaurant enough! Read more
This new place opened up a few weeks ago just east of montello, and if you skip it, You\'ve Lost Your mind. The brisket was to... die for and the cornbread is so fresh you want to call it colonel. Wonderful inside, well lit, nice bar, good screens and abeautiful setting. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat whenever they\'re open. I would give it more than fivestars if I could. My partner and I stopped here on one of our many road trips. It was a brand new place so we wanted to give it a shot. And we... both love BBQ. I got the pulled pork sandwich and he got the pulled chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. The BBQ seemed wateryand like it had been sitting in a steamer tray for quite some time even though we visited at 2:00 in the afternoon. We were toldthat the Mac and cheese was made to order but I could tell that was not the case. It tasted very processed and bland. The BBQwas ok but the selection of different BBQ sauces was nice. We did take a few of the spicy sauce with us. I think that was thebest part of the meal. Read more
