incredibly wonderful food, decor, and staff, Ambrosia Bistro is the perfect place for both good food and a good time. the menu... offers a wide variety of different foods with ample vegetarian and vegan options. the atmosphere is inviting and tastefullydecorated as well as offering wonderful views of an outdoor pond/waterfall area. the staff was nothing short of absolutelywonderful and answered every question my husband and i had as well as helped recommend incredibly yummy dishes that we had nevertried before. i highly recommend going to Ambrosia to either dine in or take out next time you?re craving indian food! We dined at this restaurant for lunch after vitiating the Monterey fisherman?s wharf. We ordered the hara bhara kebab, vegetable... pakora for appetizers, dal bukhara, shahi paneer, aloo gobi and baingan bartha for entrees, naan, tandoori roti and pesto naanfor the breads. The food was at the best average. The kebab was very doughy. The ? shahi paneer? sauce was not rich and tastedof tomato mainly. The quality of paneer was also average. The cauliflower was not cooked properly and the gravy ( not expectedusually for this dish) was bland. The dal was decent. The roti was below average. I was thinking of giving a rating of 3, butthe waiting staff were not polite. We asked for some to go containers for some rice and the dal. They gave us paper boxes. Wehad to ask them twice to give plastic containers citing that the gravy might leak on paper boxes. One of us asked for a carrotfor feeding the kid and the waiting staff plainly refused said they don?t have carrot in matched and did not even try to checkwith the kitchen. Read more

It took lot of time for my order to come. Even after mentioning spice level while ordering food was very spicy.. lots of chili... flakes. In mixed veg korma there very few veggies were there. Quantity is not enough. Wouldn?t recommend it. Read more

Great place! The decorations and ambiance is really pleasant. Party of six quickly seated at about 730pm with no... reservations. Plenty of good service! Helpful, knowlegable, accurate and attentive. We ordered delivery. It took about an hour. With fees and tip it was $100. The food was $65.50. The portions were really small.... An entree was in a pint container, no rice included, $19. We got medium spice and it was very spicy. I thought the portionswould be larger given the price or it would be excellent. It was all meh. Very disappointing. Read more
