The food was hot, fresh and flavorful, and portions large. Saucy. I had to request chopsticks, which I'd never done in a Chinese... restaurant. The service was a bit slow; however it was a late dinner so I will forgive the restaurant for only having one servertaking orders. While some parts of the restaurant could probably use some updating (e.g. the restrooms were relatively clean,albeit beaten from years of use), the dining area was fine and I appreciated the ceiling art. First time back there in 3-4 years. Nice location, big parking lot. Food was good, but not as good as we remembered. Service was... fine, no complaints about that. Might try again soon as maybe just an off night for the cook(s). Read more
Chef Lee's Monterey has been the Peninsula's #1 Chinese restaurant for over 50 years. The service is great. The food is quickly... made, served hot, full of flavor and delicious. Thank you for hosting our family events from Baptisms, wedding rehearsaldinners, birthdays, and celebrations of life luncheons.
