They allow dogs on the outdoor seating area, but you will have to go through the restaurant, which is quite tight and packed... with tables. Therefore, you will inevitably bump into other patrons, especially if you have a medium or up size dog. I reallylike the idea of this place, but the menu items are not well executed. If done right, it would have been a fantastic meal. Butsince it wasn't, it just left me disappointed at the quality of the food, feeling cheated for the price, and worst of all,leaving hungry. If they have excellent service and ambiance that can justify the price tag, I can understand. But thisjust....isn't. If they focus on fusion Vietnamese food, or traditional Vietnamese cuisine, or even the quality of their serviceand ambiance, they have a better chance of succeeding as a business long term. Right now, they are kinda trying all 3 of them,and none of them are meeting the standard. If they focus on 1 thing and fix that, they would have a much better chance atearning returning customers. But for now, this is a place holder for people who lack options and are willing to compromise. Read more
Probably the only "classic" Vietnamese restaurant in Monterey. Decided to hit this up the morning after a night of wedding... drinking. Needed some pho to come back to life! It was simple and rejuvenated me. Much needed! The pho is pretty simplequality, but overall it did the job. A good amount of meat to noodle ratio. I also got a half order of summer rolls. These weresubpar and weren't rolled very well, but still good. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was a but weak too and too watereddown. OMG! I?m from out of town and walked down to eat dinner the last night I was in town. Let me tell you, it left me craving... Vietnamese food in a way that no other restaurant could satisfy! Extensive menu, reasonably priced, exceptionally friendly and fast service.
