So nice, when you walk in you are immediately greater like family if not better. We were seated as soon after the greeting. ... Food was so good and don't be to shy to ask for a knife and fork, lol. Best sushi in Monterey hands down! Service was attentive and friendly (we went at 2pm for reference) and I loved all the rolls... we got. I can’t remember the name of mine but it was delicious and fresh. The salmon nigiri was high quality tasting as wellwhich is key for raw salmon these days. 10/10 recommend you go when you’re hankering for some sushi! Read more
Food here was amazing. Delicious, fresh fish. We came on Father Day's for dinner and it was packed. There was a 30-45min wait,... but we were glad to eat here. Food took a while to come out, but well worth it. We got takoyaki, nigiri plate, and baked roll.Definitely filling for two people. Read more
Really excellent food. The exterior is unassuming but you'll find a great authentic taste inside. There is a sushi bar, imported... beers, hot sake, and everything else you would expect. On top of that they have a rotating specials menu with great desserts.Have your kids try their first Ramune (Japanese soda) here. And if you're feeling adventurous go for the Chef's omakase dinner.They even have had tempura fried ice cream, green tea and red bean flavored, for dessert some nights! Great Sushi ! My son and I got into town late from SB. He insisted on Sushi. We didn't get our two seats at the bar for a... full hour, but the service and food made it worth the wait. Great food. I had the green goblin and the Mama Mia. Rolls were put together very well. Not to big to eat all at once. There... were three of us and most tables were for 2 so we sat at the bar. The door was open the whole time and it was freezing but themeal was worth it! Read more
