Not only can you get a great variety of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern groceries here, but then you discover the falafel wrap omg.... So. Dang. Tasty. The family that runs the place are so friendly and take pride in their deli. I'm only a few blocks away, so I'mthere at least once or twice a week. The lemon soup is perfect (as long as you get there before they sell out), smooth andbright and satisfying. Tourists would do well to check this place out. They aren't the typical overpriced mediocre restaurantyou'll find out here, and that's why I love this place: it's never slammed with Aquarium visitors. Ha. Read more
Love this market! I just visited again after moving back to the area and it seems as if the stock has greatly expanded. There is... a wider variety of Arabic and Jordanian seasonings from what I recall. Family run and very friendly. Near Monterey Bay I found this Mediterranean grocery store cum food place. As it was Halal so I decided to give it a try. Their... Menu was so petite that you could only find very basic items of mediterranean cuisine with chicken and beef/ lamb variants. Ihad Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Beef Shawarma Wrap and Baklava in pistachio flavor. Chicken Shawarma was average but Beef one didn'thave any taste, in my language it was totally PHEEKA! Anyways Baklava made my visit there little worthy as it was good. There isno space for dining in or out. Read more
