We had a lovely diner in this restaurant. The menu is large, the portions are generous and they serve a complementary salad as... starter. I loved my Udon tempura noodles and the dishes I saw at the neighbours' tables looked delicious. The service is superwelcoming, efficient and friendly. The view from the windows is charming! server did not take any notes of allergy request and brought out sushi made regular. Also waiting time was pretty long and sushi... tasted average. Also when ordering the server let us know that all the rolls we chose came pretty spicy and there was no mentionof this on the menu so we had to choose new rolls on the spot Read more

This is somewhere I always end up after a trip to Monterey ? it's one of my favorite little spots to eat. It is just so... excellent! I?m a big fan of hibachi style food, and similar to Benihana?s, this place is just as good. I love the way thesteak tastes fresh off of the hibachi grill, as well as the vegetables. Most likely it?s the butter but it?s all pretty amazing! Read more
We enjoyed our meal here. My husband said the curtsy was just like we could get in Japan, although a bit more of the sauce... itself was needed. My daughter enjoyed the fried rice and I got a roll. I probably wouldn?t go back for the sushi alone as theflavor left something to be desired. I would go back to try other things on their menu though including the hibachi. The staffand server are incredibly kind and welcoming. There is also a wonderful panoramic view of the harbor and busy happenings downthere. Overall, a very clean and welcoming place. Read more
Seating by the window was very nice. Ordered the mushroom oyster new york cut steak with vegetables on a hot plate. The steak... was done to correct doneness, it was tasty, not chewy. The sauce was a bit salty. The vegetables were a good accompaniment. Ourother order was a Ribeye steak and mushroom in a Dijon cream sauce with potatoes. What started amazingly ended with stinky fish. So now you wonder how did I get there? Restaurant menu looks intriguing but big,... we took a risk to go for sashimi. The start with asparagus and seaweed salad was promising, well done and delicious. Beautifullycooked calamari; not only looked great but also tasted well. Nigiri with uni was great, fresh Santa Barbara urchin melted in themouth. Then our delux sashimi boat arrived. Roles were great but some of sashimi pieces smelled fishy and unfresh, meh!
