My first time at an ocean view restaurant. It was beautiful. Since I'm a vegetarian I didn't find the menu very interesting (not... complaining because the view fixed all the disappointments). Definitely would go again to enjoy their scenic outdoor seating. Read more
Well I always start with the good 1st. The grilled shrimp was amazing, now my wife order bass tacos no onion with salsa came... back with onions no salsa we requested them to make a new one no onions they Beaufort it back plane was supposed to have avocadoalso, we didn’t complain at this point we ate the food paid the bill but disappointed, the presentation of the food was goodbut other that the shrimp everything else was average. I did add 2 stars as they brought us a free chocolate cake for areanniversary, that being said the server was great but the food not so much you pay for the scenery not the food. Read more
Food was great, excellent service and amazing view! We loved it so much that we had our dinner there two nights in a row while... we were at Monterey. The sea food pasta and the grilled salmon was superb! Definitely coming back! Read more
I’ll admit when I am wrong. I won’t eat at hotel restaurants usually or be meticulous about researching them. So when we... pulled up to this Ocean-side place I almost went elsewhere. But we were tired from our drive and caved in. Glad we did. The burrata cheese platter was high-lighted with cherries and some great bread. Only suggestion here would be to give us onemore wedge of bread ( 2 were not enough ). The large tempura shrimp were juicy and piping hot. Tempura better was great. My kids’ fried chicken sandwich felt homemade and the boys ate these down to an empty plate ( fries also - seasoned well andcrispy. ). The drink was some rum, pineapple juice and coconut juice. Perfect for the beach setting. Over all the foodwas a 5. The service and hostess felt formal and snooty but this place is trying to come off as “high end “ or upscale. The view is phenomenal - so the prices are also a bit steep. I can recommend it but be prepared to foot the bill. Read more
Beautiful views from the patio outside. Waitress was very attentive. I thought the Crab Roll was going to be the hot one but it... was a cold mix. However, it was refreshing since it was a hot day. The fries were very good. The ceviche was pretty good. Iwould order both items again. Read more
I order a waffle with a mimosa. My best friend ordered the Eggs Benedict, with a Bloody Mary and our dishes and drinks were... amazing! Full of amazing flavors and just the right amount to make you full. I will be making my way back to try a few morethings on the menu! Read more
Beautiful views from the patio and amazing food. We ordered “the yacht” three tier app plate, it was amazing. They had... shrimp cocktail, dungeoness crab, ahi poke, all of it was the bomb. Ordered black cod with ramen as the main entree. Loved myexperience! Read more
Discover Schooners Restaurant on the Monterey Bay. It’s located in one of my favorite hotels in the world. The Monterey Plaza... Hotel. This is a dining experience with a view of the water from Cannery Row. My favorite time to be here is sunset for dinner.The food choices are excellent. The ambience of the hotel is extraordinary.
