The young lady behind the counter was very unprofessional and rude. When she opened my box for me to check my food, my wings... were the wrong flavor and she refused to accommodate me stating that she did not know where my ticket was. I proceed to tell herwhat I ordered and she stood there and looked at me like I was in the wrong. American Deli, if you?re going to have teenagersworking, please train them properly. Read more
There food is great, but the employees could be a little more friendly.
By FAR, the WORST take out I have ever gotten. Ordered the grilled chicken salad. I seriously couldn't tell what the meat was.... It was a brown, SUPER GREASY, gristley blob and chopped like a philly steak with small bone fragments in it. On top of it theyput pickles in my salad. No where does it say pickles are a part of the salad. I took it back thinking I got the wrong orderand they put philly steak on it not chicken. I also said no cucumbers but. of course those were in the salad. The 2nd one wasjust as bad if not worse than the first one. This time they also forgot to put green peppers and banana peppers on it & thisone also had pickles in it. (Menu says tomato, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and banana peppers.) Both ended in the trashas I was so grossed out by this meat that I would rather be hungry than eat this mystery meat. It was worse chicken than at thecheapest Chinese restaurant you've ever been too. I did order this salad one time before at the location on Eastern Blvd. andit was fine. The meat was a sliced chicken breast. The one on Vaughn & Taylor was DISGUSTING. I will NEVER go back. I ordered from this American Deli tonight once I got home and placed the plate in front of me I got a foul smell which smelt... like mildew and I open the plate and my food smell as if it was spoiled I decided to taste one of the wings and the wings tastedlike they were spoiled really bad. Ordered Vegetable rice w/ lemon peppered wings, Shrimp rice and 2 additional orders of Wings. The container was overloaded... with very dry rice and a small amount of Vegetables with no taste. The lemon peppered wings were definitely not seasoned totaste lemon peppery. The Shrimp was mostly missing in an over abundance of tasteless rice and a small amount of veggies. Ididn't go inside but sent someone in to order and pick up my food. I only discovered this after getting home and starting myserving process. This visit was to the Cornerstone location. Two facts: it was a Genuine waste of my money and my time. Definitely won't order from this location again. I have frequented the Ann Street .location for years. Never disappointed there. Read more
Decent food. Absolutely miserable customer service. Young lady at the front counter more interested in playing on her cell phone... then taking orders. I don?t think I?ve ever been treated more poorly in any restaurant in the city. Abysmal. Read more
