went here for celebration for my son's graduation from montgomery police academy. tamales I ordered were not what i expected.... they use corn meal instead of normal wraps for tamales. I couldn't eat them and nothing was offered in it's place. If you love agood tamale, this is not the place to go. service was just okay. we dined in. Read more
I eat here at least once a week. Here lately the food as been subpar. Either real greasy or watery. Today i went to wash my... hands and came back to my table being cleaned and what I had left was gone. I was gonna take my leftovers home but couldn'ttoday. We were going to be in the area and googled Mexican food. Chose La Zona Rosa from several others because the pictures and... reviews and we were not disappointed. Was pretty disappointed especially after reading all the reviews. Not very authentic tasting food. More like American Mexican... style food. Food tasted reheated. Too much cheese. Kids pizza was questionable. Chimichanga wasn?t crispy. Also not sure whythis place doesn?t have a changing table in the bathrooms. Clearly families come to eat here. Great place, definitely would recommend. Service was great and quick. I ordered the salvadoran options which the pupusas almost... seemed frozen and the plantains were not at the optimal ripeness. Pupusas were serve with cheese instead of salsa which wasinteresting so I traded the cheese to eat with the Tortilla chips and the salsa for the chips for the pupusas. Read more
One of my top 5 places to eat in Montgomery!The food is fresh and well seasoned. The margaritas are great as well(reasonably... priced and strong).I usually order the carnita tacos, fajita nachos,shrimp nachos or enchiladas. I prefer the sangria margaritaor skinny margaritas and they are GOOD!One and done unless you're having a long week!As you can see I'm here at minimum once aweek. Fantastic spot to eat! They have a great outdoor patio which gives you a high up view of the outdoors. The service was extremely... fast and the food was delicious. It is a double sided big menu with so many food and drink options. I was super pleased I lovedthe papusa the most although the plantains were super great too. Don?t order takeout. I ordered takeout hoping for a tasty dinner in my hotel. The guacamole arrived as just some partially cut... up avocados and they were bruised. No seasoning, just avocado. The fajitas were mediocre. The extra salsa was left out. Nothappy. Read more
