My 1st visit to Taco Mama...I'm impressed! I have been hearing so many great things about this franchise restaurant and I... understand why. I let my daughter order for me, as it's one of her favorite places. We both had 2 soft chicken tacos withnumerous choices of add ins (there's numerous choices) queso, street corn, and of course, freshly made chips and salsa,????????Everything had a freshly made taste. Large portions, as well. Very friendly customer service! Definitely a new addition to myrestaurant list located near me. I love the choice of outside dining, as thats a rare opportunity. With record heat index of105°, just too hot for this visit! First time back in a couple years and everything was wonderful. We waited in a long line which took 10-15 minutes. We ordered... the street tacos. After finding a table to sit in the inside our food was out in five minutes. The tacos were very filling andfull. The salsa was good with a tiny bit of spice. The queso I ordered as a side was very thick and creamy. Street corn was veryflavorful and delicious. They have the best thin chips to dip in the salsa. Everything was fast and wonderful. I've been very pleased with every single visit. It's not 100% authentic Mexican, but it's some really good eating. I'm a picky... eater and I love that everything is custom order so I don't have to stand there and tell them all the things I don't want. Thenachos are definitely my favorite item on the menu. They are literally piled high and well-constructed. I will definitely keepcoming back. Read more
Second visit. My first impression was that it's a great location with a good vibe and the food was ok but overpriced. After my... second visit, yeah I guess I was right. The tacos just weren't that flavorful and things I expected to be like beans withchorizo were plain. The quesadilla I even added things like queso, chipotle ranch, and cilantro lime rice and it was stillunderwhelming. Not a complete miss but a Mexican restaurant will give me a quesadilla with less ingredients and more flavor forhalf the price. Chips and salsa and queso with chorizo were the star of the show.
