Update: Recently we returned to La Fondita. Although the food is really good, sadly the service is lacking. We waited over 15... minutes for a drink. I felt like we were ignored which is really a shame since we had a great first visit. I don't think we willreturn again. There are other places in the area with good food where you don't feel neglected. That is why I took two starsaway. Omg this food is the real deal! We live out of state but we're here visiting and found this gem. The enchilada mole wasone of the best things that I have ever eaten. The tacos are yummy and the Tres Leche cake is to die for. I had to get take outbecause I knew that I'd want more. Best of all, the people who work there are wonderful. The service and attention to detail isamazing! You gotta go! Read more

Food was great. Except for the wait, but other than that great service great food.
Decided to try out this place since I was passing by this town. We were a large group so we called ahead to see if they could... accommodate us and they said yes. It's not a big place and tbh it's not your typical restaurant atmosphere. They have a fewboxes out. They have a table in the back that seems to be used when the family has their meals- since I saw 2 of their kidssitting there is what I could assume. The bathrooms are very poorly maintained but that serves more of a warning rather than acriticism. Other than that very friendly staff who make sure they are attending you right and give you what you ask for. All thefood honestly tasted homemade. Like as if somebody was having you over for dinner and that's what their parents were cooking. Alot of places are guilty of giving you a sodium overload but this place didn't make you feel like you had to drink 3 pitchers ofwater after your meal. I ended up getting the steak tacos. The meat was tender and not too fatty. I could be wrong but thetortillas tasted and looked homemade which is always a plus. Delicious food with great portions. We just got take out, so didn't see much of the restaurant. Will definitely go back soon.
