We loved this restaurant for both its vegan/vegetarian and non vegan options! We went today and my boyfriend said it was the... best fried chicken sandwich he had! I had the vegan fried chicken and it was great! The fries and chips were perfectly crispyand the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about vegetarian options. Our first time going to Savory Sweet was by chance. We set out to eat elsewhere and it was closed. We were unsure what to make... of the place because the sign out front said Savory Sweet Confections and through the window all we saw was what looked like abakery shop. I finally saw the stuffed burger sign on the window and decided to give it a shot. The owner served us kindly.Chatted with us and gave us a run down on how things were prepared. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and my Husband got aburger. The first bite of my sandwich was absolute heaven! Juicy chicken breaded with a flavorful crispy batter, fresh roll andjust enough bacon to not overwhelm but compliment the chicken. My Husband absolutely loved his burger and it was cooked toperfection. If I had one suggestion it would be to make it an obvious restaurant. Well, my experience could have been better. I want to start out by saying that my interactions with the staff were friendly and... pleasant and this area needs a place like this. I ordered two Stuffed Burgers and a large Mac n Cheese. I ordered mine to bewell-done and my girlfriend ordered medium-well. My burgers (seemed to be two patties) were both very pink and luke warm inside.My girlfriend's burgers happened to look like uncooked hamburger meat. She ended up barely eating any of the Chris' StuffedBurger because of it. I do not like burgers to be pink at all (hence the ordering of well-done) so my burger being largely pinkcertainly made me uneasy. The large Mac N' Cheese happens to be pretty yummy and I'm happy about that - it's very cheesy! Withall of this being said, I was certainly looking forward to this place being good because I'm a foodie and this is right up myalley. I don't want to speculate, but perhaps the reason it was this way was because I ordered later at night (ordered around 7PM and picked up around 7:40)? Got delivery from door dash and it was horrible. "Sticky garlic wings" were soggy with the sauce/water all pooled at the bottom.... Forgot an order of fries.Ordered extra blue cheese received none at all. Large Cajun shrimp mac and cheese came in a largecontainer with just 3 shrimp cut up in it. $70 in take out and I dont even want to eat it.Second time I've tried theestablishment and im very disappointed. Highly recommend all vegans visit this spot on their trip through the Catskills. We got the vegan chicken noodle soup with the... bread bowl which was perfect for the fall/winter weather outside. The soup was delicious and good portion. We also got 2 veganchicken sandwiches. For starters, the vegan chick'n patty is homemade in store and the BEST we've ever had. We travel often andhave tried many Chick'n patty's, but this is the best by far. It tastes like real chicken (even better actually). I want to saythis in the kindest way possible because I truly mean these are the best we've had, but the sandwiches were a bit over spiced.These sandwiches are the real deal and so flavorful on their own. They don't need all that sauce on the sandwich because theflavor is so amazing on its own. Next time I would request no seasoning/sauce on my sandwich because we enjoyed the sandwich somuch just as it is.
