Every time I go I feel welcomed, and the shakes are good!!
All in all a great Stewart's. Been a steady customer for 20 years. I get my gas and my milk here, as well as their famous ice... cream. Too bad they struggle with staffing issues, and they have high traffic volume. Makes for long waits for the cashier. Theystill maintain a friendly and helpful outlook. The only place that sells non ethanol gas.
Although, I have a complaint. Overall a decent enough place to go. When there are no safety issues as there has been relatively... recently, that prevented everyone from using the shop at all for a period of time. And given the limited numbers of places onecan go to for all services provided here in Monticello, NY. Most are grateful this Stewart's exists. And is open later whenmost others are closed, created a semi food/gas desert of sorts. I have to come into the village for things as there is no shopsby any of the lake communities near the village. At any event, there is a individual who works there, a manager I believe whowas very rude and disrespectful to me while I was trying to purchase my order. Although, I have frequented this locationnumerous times since moving up here from the city. I never remember what time they close. I arrived about 5 minutes beforeclosing apparently and she stood behind me staring at me and commenting that they were closing. I made haste when I realized itwas closing time and was at the register in good time. But, I purchased ice cream and had to make two trips back to my car as Ihad purchased numerous items. Clearly she was enraged! And this detained what she clearly felt was too slow of a departure! Shemade me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Terrible customer service. She was clearly annoyed and aggregated that I wasstill just at the register at 11:05. I understand how it can seem a bit much when your work day is at its end and you still havea customer in your store. But, when the customer arrives before closing and makes haste to leave. The same quality care shouldbe afforded as it would be at the start of middle of the day! It is called CUSTOMER SERVICE! A HUMAN DECENCY! She should bere-trained in what customer service means. Clean store for as extremely busy it is. Stewart's ice cream is a #1 favorite, always taste and fresh in hard or soft. Well... stocked and good assortment of product for a small convenience store. Read more
