What an amazing meal. Lives uo to the expectation. But for $450 CAD, it better be good!! No daily specials, no tasting menu. In... and out like a well oiled machine. What they do, they do well and very professionally 4.7 out of 5 for me. I feel like they arecomfortable with the regular items from 20 years ago when Tony Bourdaine was there. Gotta go once but not more. Read more

The advice they offer is to share three or four dishes and I couldn't be more glad that we did! The macaroni was just... incredible. Cheesy with the perfect saltines from the foie gras. The Sheppard's pie surprised me by how simple the ingredientswere and yet how excellent the dish was. We saw a lot of other tables order the duck in a can so we'll have to come back andtry more!! This was our one stop for the night knowing it would be an overindulgence. The service, atmosphere, and food were great. We had... the salt cod croquettes, tuna tartar special, Foie Gras poutine, and Whelk's. We saw there were roasted artichokes and asked ifwe could have a side order. Our server said they went with the pork chop and it wasn't possible. He then came back and saidChef would make a dish for us. They came with a few potatoes in a veal stock which was fantastic! It was greatly appreciated. Read more

To say that it's a rich food experience is an understatement. The Foie Gras Poutine was outstanding , as was the Roquefort... salad, Whelks and desserts. The special fried pig's head with stuffed lobster was as delicious as it was decadent. Definitelyneed 3 people to take it on. The squid ink risotto, unfortunately, was overly salty, soupy and just not good in all three ofour opinions. The service was fantastic and definitely made the whole dining experience that much better. Read more

If you're looking to indulge, this is the place for you. Their takes on a beef burger and mac and cheese are amazing and... decadent (foie gras on everything). The duck tartar roll was also delicious and surprising, since I didn't expect any Japanesesushi style food here. I came here once over 10 years ago and it still one of my favorite places to eat. The staff wasattentive, helpful, and fun to interact with. Walked in 5 minutes before our reservation and the table was ready. Our waitressSamantha helped us navigate the menu and find perfect beer pairings. Can't wait to come back to this place. Read more

We heard about Au Pied de Cochon on a YouTube guide to Montreal, and went with high expectations which were exceeded in every... possible way. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, she custom made a non alcoholic mixed drink for my pregnant wife, and allour food was prepared and plated expediently despite being nearly full. We got the chicken liver mousse stuffed maple bacondonut first. That's a lot of modifiers but they all came together to make the most incredible sweet yet savory, decadently richappetizer. Then we had the braised pork shank with risotto, a dish for two, and were blown away with the tender and complexmeaty flavors. It must have been cooking all day. Last we had the maple pie, which I'll admit wasn't my favorite dessert butstill was tasty and a nice complement to some after dinner coffee. I can't recommend Au Pied de Cochon enough, and I only hope Ihave the opportunity to come back to Montreal for another go. Read more

Had a dinner here early in December. Drank a few cocktails and ordered a few shared plates. The cocktails we really enjoyable.... Found the food to be well cooked but unseasoned. Service was okay, the server was polite but didn't seem to be very friendly. Ifound the price to be quite high for the overall experience. Truthfully I was expecting a little better service and food qualityfor all the hype and difficulty making a reservation . Read more
