If you like medieval anything, this is the real deal! My fiance and I just got to our Airbnb and we couldn't wait to write a... review! We were the first people to arrive as it opened and were greeted by Alistair. He made us feel welcome and wasextremely accommodating to us as English only speakers. He told us that everything is local if not housemade -- from the herbsto composting! All of the food was outstanding -- we got the dragon claws, boar shank, duck confit, and the death by chocolateand banana cake, along with 3 kinds of mead! Their own minstrel (I believe his name was Edmund) came out and threw some Englishsongs for us! If you go there, please buy the kitchen a round of drinks -- for the quality of food they put out, they deserveit! Next time we are in Montreal, we will definitely pass by again! 11/10 will recommend if you are in the area! Read more
As usual?a memorable experience, staff are fully invested in their roles, enthusiastic such as Gervette, so much fun! 1.5 hour waiting to make an order, over 1 hour waiting for food, eating 20 minutes because we had to leave by the time we... received a food. The stuff was busy with big party. Even though we made a reservation for 8 persons a week ago the restaurantwas not ready to serve us. So, to sum up: Bed service. Went there for one of their singing nights. Outstanding entertainers that sing and joke around (in French). Food is well made... and very generous, with a medieval twist. It's on the expensive side but if you think about it as a dinner show, it's a decentdeal. Read more

The food was amazing and the staff were even better. From the servants to the cooks to the troubadours it was an amazing... experience. I only wish I knew more French so that I could properly tell all of them what an amazing experience I had and howmuch it meant to me. Instead I just bought them all shots. That usually helps explain. This place was so fun! Even as English-only speakers, we had an incredible time in this medieval-themed tavern. The minstrels... were amazing; they for sure put all their points into charisma. They translated for us and sang the Rains of Castemere (minusthe crossbows). The food and mead were to die for. Read more
