fantastic! Outstanding ambiance and comfy seating. Amazing drinks both the cocktails on the menu and the creative takes the... bartenders create on request. My first time having hot sauce served with oysters and I loved it. A DJ in the corner wasn’twhat I expected at a grand wood-paneled bar but it was just what the bar needed, too. We had an absolutely delicious meal here during our stay in Montreal. Beef Wellington and truffle gnocchi are some of our fave... dishes worldwide so good to try them here. Neither disappointed they were exceptional. We shared both dishes between the two ofus. Also sampled the whiskey pudding. Divine! Great food in a unique setting. Eating at Bar George is almost akin to eating inside a Harry Potter movie set but you're an adult with fancy cocktails instead... of butterbear. The building is breathtaking, with wood paneled walls, stained glass windows, bathroom sinks with gold encrustedswans. As a tourist, you pair this gorgeous scene with the elegant sound of French everywhere and this is the place to go for afancy night out. To top it off, the food lives up to the ambiance! Everything we tried tasted delicious, from the beet salad andsalmon with seafood to the one of the best desserts I've ever had called Kevin's mess. Read more

My partner and I came to Bar George for the truffle gnocchi (no joke we looked at different menus from restaurants and chose... this one for the gnocchis). They were absolutely DELICIOUS. Like mouth-watering-only-in-your-wildest-and-best-dreams incredible.The lobster pasta was loaded with meat and equally fantastic. The best part was our server, Jonathan. He made sure from themoment we sat down to the moment we left that we were well taken care of. Extremely luxurious interior designs, wow. Loved the whole atmosphere, it felt very high class and the service was impeccable!... The truffle gnocchis was delicious but the rest were okay! We had a private room for our group of friends and it felt moreintimate and fun. We waited a little while for our bottle of liquor so they offered us desserts on the house ! Beautiful restaurant and bar in downtown Montreal. Separate dinner and bar areas make this a very nice restaurant. At the bar... area, there is a DJ playing house music, but we couldn't see him from the dinner area. Steak and duck for the main course andmushroom soup and fritters for appetizers. All the food was well cooked and delicious. I appreciated the attentive service. Onthe second floor is the restroom. On the way there you can take pictures of the staircase, and the restroom was very beautifulas well. The food and experiences were great here! Read more

The food was great. Appetizers were perfect. The only thing that could be better was the beef Wellington, but I believe that’s... just because of a personal taste. A very good dining experience. Very classy decor. The food is nice and of surprisingly good portion. We had the oysters and... lobster pasta and they were good. A good selection of alcoholic beverages as well. It is a fancy place with good food, soobviously it is pricey. But it is worth it. The food quality and quantity are also better than other restaurants of similarprice range. I don't think they have a dress code but better dress nice to fit in the environment. Read more
