Lovely pancakes. Not the super thick ones, but good solid pancakes. Fruit in the pancakes is an extra $3. You can get plain... pancakes with a side of bacon, sausage, or hash browns. But for the fruit pancakes that is extra. Found the menu a bit confusingthe way it was organized. Read more

Perfect pancakes, crispy on the edges, moist in the center. Good portions. Delicious brunch, feels like home made (without the... prep time and the dishes afterwards). And surprisingly good drip coffee. Strongly recommend! No wait time if you go early(before 9h30) on weekends. Read more

Very cute, retro diner. If you are visiting Montreal this should be on your list as it's been a part of Montreal history. They... did renovate it but has all the pictures and memorabilia still up - you can even buy some merchandise. Their milkshakes aredelicious, and the food is good- not amazing, but still decent. Would not be my first choice for brunch, but the spaciousness ofthe inside, their good service and their milkshakes are worth it. I would just avoid going too early or on a weekend as *there(edited) tends to be long lines during those times. Read more

I hadn't been back since their new renovation and the food is exactly as good as I remembered it. I had the beauty's special... (bagel with smoked salmon, creme cheese and onions) with a side of bacon and a milkshake. Needless to say it was divine. Tips:Seating is limited so arrive early or expect to wait a little on weekends when it's busy. Party's of more than 4 might be achallenge to have you all sit together. Read more

we visited Beauty's on a super rainy Monday morning, so when we got there, luckily it wasn't packed & there was no wait line! we... ordered some waffles & breakfast items ?? the food was decent , and the decor is super cute! it felt nice sitting and eatingthere. the waitress took our order & got our food in a good amount of time , but never came to check on us after the dishes weredropped off. then a waitline started forming outside, and it felt like they literally rushed us out Read more

Great food selection and history. A classic diner in every sense. The cocktail ordered was a bit surprising to be a... make-your-own (wasn't clear on the menu). But, staff are helpful, attentive, and quick. Very busy spot, but people are wellcared for, so it's always moving. Recommended for fun date. Check out the options we picked up - the breakfast, around 20$,for the larger breakfast, was a great and tasty experience. Similarly with the other plate ordered - sweeter, and very rich!Overall, would definitely recommend for a date spot, or fun meeting. Busy place, but quick moving! Read more

This was my first time at Beauty?s despite living in Montreal for 5 years and Saint Urbain for 2 of them. Sacrilegious, I... know! I split the Beauty?s Breakfast melt (egg, cheese, salami, and tomato grilled on challah), latkes, and a side order ofpancakes with my dad. We started by taking a bite into the sandwich, which we immediately deemed a major L. As in, it can?t getbetter from here- right? Just look at the cross section shot in the attached pic. Let's just say it was a breakfast sando onbeast mode. Next we tried the latkes, which affirmed our worry a bit. They were solid but I think they could?ve been a bitcrispier + saltier. We finished with the pancakes. I have to assert that I?m basically the queen of pancakes. It?s my favouritebreakfast food to order when eating out. BOY were these a slap to the puny proclamation we first made! Crispy exterior, fluffyinterior, and perfect chew. Even if you don?t order them as your main, a side order is $6 for two generous golden coins ofgoodness. You walk into Beauty?s and it?s a no brainer why this has remained such a prominent institution in Montreal?s foodscene for decades. The food isn?t necessarily drop-to-your-knees incredible, but you?re paying for a solid meal and eating it ina sliver of Montreal?s rich Jewish history. Just a thought experiment here- someone needs to get Drake (Jewish Canadiancultural icon) and his PR in on this establishment. Think about the market potential they could tap into with a collaborationhere. OVO hypebeasts stretch far and wide in this country. Not that Beauty?s necessarily needs more hype, but it would gocrazy?. Read more
