1. We were told we had to determine what cone we wanted prior to choosing the size and style of the cone. 2. Then we were told... we could not order only one scoop of ice cream. When does the customer have the right to choose how much ice cream they want ordo they? 3. Are some scoops of ice cream more costly than other scoops and if so why is that not posted to let customers knowin advance how much the cost will be? Read more

Unaccommodating staff, unpersonable, dirty location. They only have 2 non-milk options on the menu (for people with... sensitivities or allergies) which is perfectly normal and acceptable. They will not give samples due to "COVID", yet the placeis packed and no other COVID protocols are being followed. After my wife settled on 1 flavour (and paid for it), it was horribletasting (hence the reason for sampling before trying). The staff would not even consider changing it or letting her sample theother one before paying (again). This sounded crazy and scam-like. The manager was called and she tried to convince my wife(over the phone) that she was wrong and that it tasted good (sounds even crazier). Then, when the manager thought that we werescamming her over an overpriced $7 cup of non-dairy ice cream (my 44-year-old wife scamming Ben & Jerry over $7 ice cream), themanager reluctantly settled on a petite kids cup of the other ice cream as a replacement. Nothing like a nice walk in the cityon a beautiful warm night with your wife, until you make a stop for ice cream from a reputable brand, only to be treated likegarbage. Sorry Ben & Jerry's, this location is doing a disservice to your brand. Read more

Ben & Jerry's ice cream has a cult-like following because it is quintessentially a Vermont homegrown treat. This is... well-deserved because the ice cream is delicious and the company's management makes calculated marketing decisions..., mostrecently about Occupied Palestine. Unfortunately this Ben & Jerry's was in downtown Montreal on Maisonneuve Ouest and staffedby teenagers having horrible, no good, terrible days. We were greeted with sullen contempt but shouldered onwards for the sakeof the treat. The restaurant was filthy; the bathroom a petri dish of bacteria and mould; the tables festooned with debris fromformer clients; not surprisingly, debis littered the floor. Perhaps the franchise owner and management were isolating withCovid. We were sold stale waffle cones with bungled orders and quickly scampered off to a happier locale. I have never tippedonly 10% but it was an effort to offer any gratuity. Please get your staff the mood-altering help they need: be it better pay, fewer hours, cannabis gummies, or use of a company scooter. We hope to return and find the atmosphere lighter. Read more

Went on a sunny Sunday afternoon, might have had the same idea as many others... There were unfortunately only two employees,... doing their best to serve everyone. I waited a good 15-20min in line before making my order. Maybe I went at the wrong time butthe location seemed understaffed. The employees seemed to be working very hard. I also felt COVID safe. But then, with themasks, the plexiglass and everything, it was hard to understand each other and I didn't get the flavor I ordered. There is nospace to hang out and you can't stay inside for safety reasons. Compared to other ice cream shops, I thought the products werea bit expensive. You dont have the option to get only 1 scoop. So you start at around $8/person and you go up with the conesoptions. The flavors are still the originals though, you won't be disappointed. All the classics are there, Cherry Garcia andeverything.
