Some of my favorite food, ever. Uniquely delicious. Cozy and elegant at the same time. The baklava is a standout recipe!

These small European restaurants can be very hit and miss. This location is very much a hit. Bulgarian seal of approval. Had... brunch, food was incredibly fresh, everything home made. Pleasant chill atmosphere, clean bathroom, pleasant staff, very Eurovibes. Fantastic place for a dinner date or brunch. Read more

What a lovely place! We came for Sunday jazz brunch - the food was delicious and homemade, the music delightful and we even got... to meet the owner. The place itself has a charming little yard with outside seating. Everyone was so welcoming. I highlyrecommend the banitza, and the mekitzi! Read more

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Bistro Sofia last night (after I found it through a google search and decided to try it because... of their glowing 5 star reviews), and it was such a delicious and fun experience. The owners are soooo nice, they're incrediblyaccommodating, and the food and wine are great value. We shared a bottle of wine (the most expensive white wine is only $34),the zucchini + garlicky yogurt sauce as an appt, breaded cheese with a fresh cabbage salad, fries, and mustard mayo dip, and theimam bayaldi (an eggplant and tomato stew with dried mint topped with salty cheese) which was served with a fresh green saladwith radishes and cucumber. We were seriously full, but decided to go all out and order a cheese plate for dessert. Two softcheeses, 3 different hard ones, crispy olive-oily baguette croutons, and olives - were a perfect way to end the meal and toaccompany our last few sips of wine. If you like cheeses with a strong taste (like parmesan - feta) you need to get thisplate. They opened up in December, and I have to give them tremendous credit for starting right in the middle of the pandemicand for adjusting so quickly to in-person dining. I highly recommend coming for dinner, trying a new cuisine (Bulgarian!), andsupporting a budding business. Read more
