Whenever my partner and I visit Montreal, we make it a point to come to Cafe Lulu for breakfast at least once or twice during... our stay. The food here is phenomenally good and tasty for how simple it is. And the owner is such an awesome guy with such agreat attitude that you can't help but smile when you interact with him. Very good price for a great breakfast. I've tried several omelette dishes, I loved them all. The one pictured is a western... omelette, with green peppers, cheese, and ham. it is perfectly cooked, it is fluffy and not rubbery and overcooked. it comeswith toast and some fruit and costs under 15 dollars. TL;DR: Homey place, good food, very reasonable prices, 120% recommend. This café offers everything I want in a brunch... place: 1) Ambiance - Cozy: no fanfares in the interior déco, just old school chairs and tables; simple and homely charming 2)Food & Coffee - Simple and good: my ratings of food always takes into account their prices. The price is very... Honest, forlack of a better term. At the moment I'm writing this, the smoked salmon bagel was 8.95$, the chicken mushroom Swiss cheesecrepe was 12.75$, and the French toast (comes with a filter coffee) is 8.95$. The portions are generous and the taste is veryhomey, no fanfares. The latte was also simple but very enjoyable. 3) Service - Just attentive enough: they bring the food toyou at your table and come to inquire once on us. I like to have my food in peace, so once was just the right amount. -Welcoming: the owner is very very kind and friendly, and the staff, the same.
