Amazing food, staff and general service. Had the Mixed Greens and it was wonderful, it wasn't drenched in vinaigrette and had... just enough lemon to taste perfect. For dinner I had the Flank Steak (medium rare :D), and it was just amazing, no doubt one ofthe best I've ever had. Groupe of 12. Arrived at 12 it's 12:55 and we only received salad and water. They don't give you bread if you don't order. If... you're in a rush like most of us on a Monday noon in downtown, don't come here. Expensive as well. Very disappointed. Thepeople in our groupe was very stressed and some had to take the food to go because of how slowly the service is. Food wise,small portions, simple dishes with fancy names. We're not coming back. Great food. Attended my company Christmas party, and they were serving pork sliders. Oh my god, they were incredible. Everything... that they served was great. But those pork sliders I am still thinking about them. The ambiance was good, and during my previousvisit I saw Prime Minsiter Jean Chretien having dinner with his wife. Service was also impeccable, friendly and attentive. Willdefinitely visit again. Read more
Nice decor. Food was really good but portions sizes varied greatly. Main dishes are great, but salads are very small. Have them... as an appetizer only even if the waitress says it's enough for a meal. Read more
Good food, great for a business lunch or a date night
We had our wedding at Decca 77, and it was amazing. It was a small wedding (35 people), so we rented out the bar and mezzanine... dining area. Part of the mezzanine can be curtained off, so we even had the ceremony there (obviously a small civil ceremony). Working with Julie, the event coordinator was great - she went above and beyond to help us, and made sure the day was perfect. On our wedding day, the staff was amazing - seriously top-notch service. Very attentive and helpful. And the food wasincredible. We arranged our menu in advance with Julie, and it was executed perfectly by the chef. Everyone at the weddingsaid the entire event was first class - I don't think it could have gone better. We'll definitely keep Decca in mind for anyfuture events. Read more
My wife and I went to Decca 77 on our honeymoon. The service was exceptional and was the best we had in all of Montreal. The... food met expectations for the price, this isn?t a cheap date place but it the value was present. Looking at a few of the othercomments we are also Americans and had no trouble with the staff. I would not consider the food portions small unless you arebeing too cheap to order multiple courses. Overall, come here for excellent service and good food at a reasonable price. Read more
Good tasting food but the portions are ridiculously small, hence the overall value for the money is very poor. I realize this is... not a fast food restaurant where it is quantity before quality , but it doesn't mean the customer has to be gouged in order toenjoy a good meal. I ordered a simple pasta dish (no meat sauce). It was a tiny portion, suitable for either an average 5-yearold or someone who is anorexic . This is totally unacceptable considering that pasta is very inexpensive to make. Colleguesordered other plates with similarly tiny portions. If you must eat there, make sure you had eaten something within the previoushour OR you plan on eating something very shortly afterwards. The only reason i gave it two stars instead of only one is becausethe taste, presentation and decor were good. Read more
