Pretty good food but a bit pricy

Most authentic, best bang for your buck kosher Montreal experience - the smoked meat is hard to beat and really the reason to... come to Montreal in the first place. Not sure how this place is allowed to sell smoked meat sandwiches/poutine. It's actually laughable and one would think they're... being pranked when opening up their meal at home. I'm sure you've already read the comments and seen the pics posted below. Paid$21 for a smoked meat sandwich on baguette. It had 6 slices of meat in it. There was more bun than meat by a long shot. I alsogot a poutine that only contained smoke meat scraps with literally not one single piece of meat larger than a pinky nail. Thefood quality and the taste was average at best. ABSOLUTELY A JOKE given the price. I can't speak for the other food here but Iwould only buy their smoked meat products again to prank someone. Read more

I understand that complying with kashrut might add immensely to the costs but even after taking this into consideration the... prices at this location were unreasonably high. And the menus that I ordered I found out to be quite average though had to paymore than double the normal price of the same menu outside. The owners are so lovely and kind though. Read more

To be honest, it was my first time tasting this type of smoked meat sandwich, so I cannot compare it to Schwartz or other... similar sandwiches. But if you are curious and thinking of trying it, I really don't suggest! It's not bad in taste, but it wasnothing special at all, just juicy meat without smoke tast or special spices, no special sauce, nothing. And you pay $21+tax fora medium sandwich!! It's not worth it at all So I'd be more happy with a Subway sandwich, or a simple burger. Read more

My husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat. I googled ??kosher near me? ?we picked up 2 smoke meat sandwiches. We got... to my parents house? they were very good. Let me preface this review by saying I've been traveling to Montreal specifically for the food for over a decade now, so this is... a big deal to me. This was the best smoked meat I ever had.
