Used to be one of my favorite places before Covid, but something changed. Came here with colleagues for lunch and literally had... to wait 40 minutes to get the dishes. So out of 1 hour lunch, 15 min to eat to quickly back to work. I am sure they must haveknowledge of people coming with limited time frame during lunch and yet so slow. Ordered Club Sandwich. Was pretty dry and abit tasteless. Either forgot to put sauce or it is always like that. Colleagues liked their meals though. Overall did notenjoy the latest experience. Most of the restaurants in Montreal close before 10pm, and we’re looking for the place to eat around 11pm, but we’re so... happy to find this place!! Staff are all friendly and helpful, and actually we’re surprised that food qualities are alsogreat! Meat in Truffle pasta was well cooked, soft and tasty and burger was tasty too. Even around 11pm you have lots of optionsto eat. You can enjoy the atmosphere and music too. Looks like tourist place but actually good for locals too. I highlyrecommend this place! Read more
First time to Deville and I have to say the ambiance was great. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The food came out... promptly and nice and hot which is always appreciated. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that although they offer a veggieoption for burgers, most have far too many meat elements that make the order far from vegetarian friendly. Ambiance is so cool but seemed a bit over priced menu. The chicken & waffles were delicious and the pretty in pink cocktail. Not... very busy around 3pm on a week day and there’s a nice patio outside. The staff were attentive and service was fine. Read more
I really cannot praise this place enough. I first discovered it many years ago and it is always my first supper in Montreal spot... when I return ALWAYS the best food, the best service, fun ambience. The cocktails are fun and creative. The food though, mygosh. Such a fun twist on American classics. Probably good I don't live in Quebec or I'd weigh a lot more bcuz of this place???? Read more
We went to Montreal for a weekend trip and found Deville Dinerbar while walking to find a restaurant to eat at. Great selection... for their dinner menu and they also have a great cocktail menu. We ordered some burgers, mac and cheese, chicken with fries, thehanger steak and of course a strawberry milkshake and some cocktails. We also couldn’t pass up trying their famousbeignets. We were so impressed by the service and food we went back again for dinner but were so disappointed they were closedon Sunday. Our server was so friendly and amazing! My family still talks about Deville Dinerbar and look forward to when we cancome back to Montreal to eat here again! Read more
Great modern diner - family owned and locally sourced/supported food. Overpriced $$$+ to be expected in downtown Montreal,... however food portions and taste was not mind blowing. Drink menu was great! Fun cocktails that tasted delicious. Seating wasmostly booths and comfortable. They have tables/chairs upstairs. Server was fun and personable knew the menu well. Read more
Loved the vibe and our waitress. Very big menu with tons of tempting options. I'm really sad I chose the "bad girl pasta"... because it was SUPER bland (menu made it sound like it would be spicy). Also every bite I took of scallop/muscles was crunchywith sand. Wish I could go back and order something different to give it a second try! Read more
