Food tasted bad. Small portions. No effort in presentation. Not sanitary. The utencils are in buckets on the table that are... refilled. People before you may have touched the utencils you will use. I also saw a worker filling these buckets and shepicked them up from the part that goes in your mouth. She didn't wash her hands previously and had been doing other things. Thewater jugs for outside are left on a shelf at the entrance that is right below head level for people walking by. One sneeze andyour water is tainted. Bathroom is tiny and hard to open. Not accessible or usable for elderly folk or with wheelchairs. Door isextremely heavy. Clean though. The server was nice and hardworking. Decor was ok. Don't recommend Read more

El Gordo was a lovely place to dine at with chatty staff members and a lovely ambiance. From the brunch menu to the drinks... everything was packed with amazing options. It serves a delicious brunch that keeps you full but not stuffed and theirvegetarian options were not only flavourful but very appealing. I?d recommend, Portobello to any of my fellow vegetarians. It?sa great place for a subtle family outing and a definitive rebook for a good way to start the day with some spice on a lazyafternoon. Read more

Great tacos in the heart of little burgundy! Fairly priced compared to other taco places. Their tacos are big enough to fill you... up. Staff is friendly and restaurant clean. Would come back! Read more

Nachos were okay but probably would have been better with sour cream on the side. Tacos were good but lacked flavour. Hot sauce... might have elevated the experience. Service was okay. The table next to us came long after us and left before us even thoughthey had the same food items. But still good Read more

????Food: 5/5 ????Place: 5/5 ????Service: 5/5 ????Price: 5/5 The food was just perfect and there is nothing bad to say about... it. If you are a fan of Mexican food, you will love it. I can't even tell you what what were my favorites since everything wasgreat. On the other hand, the portobello tacos were from another world and you absolutely have to try them. Read more

This is a contemporary Mexican restaurant at the heart of little burgundy. Great location with outdoor dining (terrace) when... available. We had 4 dishes. The chips and guac, fried calamari, chorizo tacos and quesadilla. The guacamole was outstanding, thecalamari was fantastic, one of the best in the city, the chorizo tacos were a dud, overcooked and dry with an oily base. Thequesadilla had to much tortilla for the ingredients. Service was good. I found that the food did not have authentic Mexicanflavors, but would return for 5à7 for the dynamite squid and guac. Came here with some friends on the weekend and had the fish and chicken tacos along, nachos (with awesome salsa), shots of... tequila, we also had a mule and mojitos. The food was amazing the drinks were amazing and the atmosphere was amazing. It's beena long time since I've had such a great meal like this. I'd need to make a special side note about the staff, they went ABOVEAND BEYOND for my friends and I and our order. They were helpful in recommendations, service and overall everything. It was someof the best service I've had at a restaurant. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Flabbergasted on how amazing everything went, I'vebeen exchanging text messages with my friends all weekend talking about how great everything was. Can't wait to come back! Read more

The service at El Gordo is wonderful. Their margarita pitcher is delicious. The large nachos were okay. And the tacos are very... filling, but for me it was missing some sauce and more flavor. Their best taco is the fish, it was good. Read more
