Good food and nice atmosphere. We had marinated chicken and lamb stew. Both were delicious and prices were very reasonable.

Everything we ordered was great (malai kofta, baigan bharta, chicken curry, chana masala, garlic naan), but the saag paneer was... the best I have ever eaten. So being Indian, northern Indian cuisine is in my blood. When I go away I am happy to see Indian restaurants, as I miss the home... cooking. Guru Bistro was disappointing. The restaurant has nice decor & excellent service. The food on the other hand was a biglet down. First up I ordered Samosa Chana (which really is Samosa Chaat). Not enough tamarind, mint sauce or masalas. For mainit was Bhindi & Malai Kofta. Bhindi was very under cooked & again that authentic flavor was missing. Malai Kofta did havedescent flavor but had too much sugar. Paranthas & Garlic naan were excellent though. The service is the real reason for the 3star rating. Small, quaint Indian restaurant with Cape Cod-style decor. The samosas were nice and big but not doughy. The lamb vindaloo had a... strong tomato flavour, a bit sour. The biryani was a bit wet but the jumbo shrimp were delicious! Read more

Coming from Brampton, Ontario, indian food is 100% up my alley. Considering there's an indian restaurant, wether it be a chain... restaurant or a mom and pop shop, around almost every corner I was pleasantly surprised by Guru! The prices were awesome, theportions were hefty and the flavours amazing. The staff were also super friendly considering we aren't particularly fluent infrench. The chicken for the korma was juicy, the sauce was spiced wonderfully, as well as the lamb tikka; tender andflavourful. I will be coming back here with friends in the future! Read more
