Great place, lovely staff & amazing food. It's a little loud for my taste but will definitely come back. Compliments to the... major D and our waiter, Jae took great care of us along the evening. Do yourself a favor and have a sake bomb... it's fun. Read more

It's great for the sake bombs and the ambiance, but quite pricey if you are hungry lol. Small-ish portions. Service was fast,... drinks were delicious and staff very friendly/respectful. Read more

Terrific experience. The staff are plentiful and welcoming. Lots of menu options and drink selections. There?s one hot sake... which made that choice easy and there?s 2 types of beer. Sapporo or their in house (whatever it happens to be at the time) thistime it was a nice red ale. They have a lot of variety on the menu from pho, curry, rare or raw fish. They even have a rib eyethat you cook yourself on a hot stone which is always fun (food and activity all in 1)! It?s a decently large place so wedidn?t have or need a reservation. Would recommend! Really excellent and high quality Japanese food! Everything we ate was fresh, flavourful and pretty authentic. We were a big... group, but six of us shared a bunch of entrees and a couple main dishes and we each had drinks and a round of shots as well. Forall that the price split 6 ways was pretty good! And the service was on point. Our server came and checked on us regularly, ensured we had everything we needed. My ONLY complaint is that we were there celebrating a birthday and the very small piece ofcake they brought was actually charged, maybe that's a thing restaurants do now but other places I've been to in the past alwaysgave that for free. There's a second reason I bring this up though and that's because it wasn't a good dessert. It was matchaflavour cheesecake and those flavours do not mix well. Many of us tried it and no one liked it, even though many of us likethose two things separately, it just wasn't good together. Thanks for the wonderful dinner and experience! I plan to go backfor a date night! Read more

Imadake was incredible. It?s great delicious Japanese food and we got all small shared plate dishes. The service was super... friendly and quick. The chicken skewers were amazing we just needed to order about 10 more of them because they were so good. And the seaweed salad was super tasty even with the surprise of a lot of lettuce under the seaweed. The nuts on the fried shrimpwere mind blowingly good. We?re definitely going back. Some reviews complain about the noise, but it wasn?t that bad. I mean,it?s a Japanese pub so it seemed exactly what you?d expect from a pub environment. Sitting on box stools and music was expectedand didn?t diminish the taste of the food! Read more

We ordered tons of things to try out, and everything turned out pretty well. Good cook and flavors, really fast service.... Favorites would be the tuna tataki and beef short ribs. Note that this place is LOUD in the evenings. Low ceiling, small space, people packed in shouting over each other to be heard. More of a student bar atmosphere than anything else. I give the food 4stars. Read more

For my first try at Japanese tapas, I'm happy to say I'm definitely doing this again! We ordered warm sake to start our meal and... warm up, with Takoyaki and Yakiniku Izakaya (rare beef strips served on a platter with the perfect sauce and a sizzling stone tocook yourself). Highly suggest to go for the grill menu as it's their specialty and makes for a fun meal, but we were alsocraving a ramen at the time, so we shared a bowl. Also, pls dont take sake as shots, unless its called a sake bomb... Warm sakeis to be enjoyed in small sips throughout meal! The yakiniku beef was fresh, juicy and delicious alongside the sauce. You canchoose to marinate before cooking on the stone, or cook first and dip the sauce afterwards, to your taste. For anyone tryingthis out, dont take too long to take your pictures as your stone might get cold and you'll miss out on that satisfying sizzlingsound as the meat hits the stone. We noticed other tables taking a long time for the perfect shot ???????? The Tonkotsu ramenhit just the spot, with 2 lightly marinated and perfectly grilled fat slices of pork belly, al dente noodles and a thick, richand creamy broth. We took the matcha cheese cake for dessert which came with a berry coulis and topped with light whippedcream. Lovely meal overall, delicious food, and dont be afraid to ask the staff for tips and advice if you're unsure on thebest way to enjoy the meal ???? Read more
