This was a very disappointing experience. First of all, our table was not ready at the time we arrived for our reservation and... we needed to wait for our server to clean it up. She is sweet but the slowest I've ever seen. She did not ask about the donenesspreference for the steak. Our plates stayed on the table 15 mins after we had done with our meals. The main frustration wastheir menu. It is very limited and that is fine if you are presenting them very well. However, they were out of the deer ossobucco and profiteroles, which are the two things that I came to this restaurant to try. Very frustrated. I tried the rabbit andit was delicious. We decided not to get any desserts since they did not have profiteroles although it was on the menu. Longstory short, I would not recommend this place. Not gonna come back. Read more

We had a wonderful dinner here! The place is cute and charming with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was wonderful (and presented... beautifully) and we split a great bottle of local wine. The service was great and just added to a lovely experience. Definitelyrecommend. Read more

This place is superb. We tried five or more starters and desserts and all of them were unbelievably delicious, as were the star... entrees: their venison special and beef tab. Service was lovely. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Montreal! Read more

I came across this restaurant by chance and had dinner a few times after my first positive experience. They have a wonderful... eclectic French menu and you can have a complete meal just by partaking of the tapas. The service is wonderful and it was apleasure to have met the owner who introduced herself. I love the patio which allows you to people watch while enjoying a meal.I highly recommend this place and definitely you should try the Deer Osso Buco which is awesome. Read more

Deux gamins is fantastic! The restaurant has a warm and inviting vibe while also being chic and charming. The food is delicious;... we ordered four dishes to share between the two of us (see our half eaten picture below!). We also ordered a bottle of theorange wine, which was crisp and reasonably priced. Our server, the owner, was thoughtful, attentive, and willing to sharerecommendations across the city. Perfect for the traveler and local alike!! Would wholeheartedly recommend for date nights, twentysomethings, and even families. Read more

I'll give a 3.5 for my experience. The interior was pretty and the ambiance was superb until a loud table were sat next to us... around the end of the meal. It's a small restaurant and the small tables were near each other. For the food, it was good butthere were no wow. The menu had little choices but most of them were French classics like the French onion soup, beef tartare, boeuf bourguignon and Paris Brest. For the appetizer, we had the beef tartare and French onion soup. The tartare was good andvery well spiced. Although, I would have had liked a some crunchy toasts with it like all other tartares. The soup tasted like atraditional French onion soup. However, there were so much bread. More than half was bread. For the mains, all my family hadthe duck confit (lack of choices) and I had the special of the day with was like a Shepard's pie but with turkey. The duck hadcrispy skins and the potatoes were a good surprise. The turkey dish was very good and I liked the salad that came with it. Asfor dessert, we had the creme brûlée and the Paris Brest. I wanted the beetroot panna cotta for dessert but I was sodisappointed to be told they ran out of it AFTER I ordered it. We came to eat at 6:30 the biggest crowd didn't even arriveyet... The creme brûlée, while there was a good coat of sugar on the creme brûlée, the custard underneath was like whippedcream with an orange taste. It didn't have the eggy and pudding like consistency. The Paris Brest, however, was excellent. Ithink my favorite of the night. I would eat that all day. Overall, it was good, but not excellent. There are a few things thatcould be improved on the food and service. Read more

After the stuffiness of some high end French restaurants, we were looking for an intimate French bistro and were so happy to... come across this place. Not only was our dinner delicious but was served with personal touch & style by Jezebel and Justine. Would highly recommend it as an overall delightful experience. Read more
