We had a wonderful meal here. Great deal price wise compared to other places we ate in. The service was good and the food was... wonderful. All classics on their menu. We started with the bone marrow as a shared appetizer and it great. Also had the duckconfit that was perfect. They also had 30ish dollar bottles of wine available which was unusual for a restaurant of theirquality which we appreciated greatly. Highly recommend and reserve. If there's one place to go to in Montreal to eat make thisone. Read more

I will give them four stars because they need to have a better ventilation in the restaurant other than that the food was... amazing specially the dessert. The Profiterole. Salmon was good . it wasn?t over cooked. Soup was good but it?s over pricedalmost $12. The ravioli was good as well. I will definitely go back there for the desert. Read more

We went for the confit de canard.. but sadly they were all out. However, the steak was phenomenal! Jar of gherkins with your... table bread was a cool touch. Gazpacho was also super tasty. Must reserve in advance!! Great spot for anyone with the Parisblues. Read more

I lived in Montreal as a college student from 2005-09 and never got a chance to go to L'Expresss as it was outside my price... range. 13 years later, it was worth the wait. We got 3 dishes for 2 people and it was more than enough food, I highly recommendtrying different things. The ravioli had a very unique taste and sauce, and it worked perfectly. The steak with butter wasamazing and the tartar with green salad was a great way to balance it all out. They basically bring out the dishes one at a timeand with the ambience being preserved since it opened, it makes the experience of feeling in an old time restaurant even moreimmersive. Is it expensive? Sure, plates range from 25-45 dollars, but I still recommend it. A great dining experience overall. Read more

This Montreal classic didn't have to elbow its way to the top of "Canada's 100 Best" - currently sitting at #21 on this year... list (2022). Locally respected for decades, this places offers some of the best french classic the Belle Province has to offer. This place offers a fine dining experience up to 2AM - which is a hell of perk! PRO TIP: if you book for a party of 3, tellthem that you are 4 instead; otherwise they will set you up on a table for two with the third sitting to the side - which ispretty uncomfortable. Read more
