Honestly, I loved this little bakery. The coffees are amazing and so is the pastries. I go with my family almost every other day... and every weekend. However, we will stop going. The owner NEVER smiles and is rude. Shes very snappy. She just lost a valuablecustomer. Edit to the owners response: i have a baby carrier and a stroller. You see me struggle to open your door and to goout of your store everytime. You never come help me open the door, you just watch or let your customer try and help- and thenget upset I didnt close the door that i basically left open for all of 5 minutes to facilitate my exit of yourestablishment. Without a doubt, here it is the best croissant aux amandes I've had in Montreal, having visited all the good French pastry shops... in the city and having grown up in France. This croissant is super well balanced, it's crispy and doesn't leave your mouthgreasy. Although it is sweet but just the right sweetness. And the filling is perfect. You eat one and wonder when you're goingto go back to eat another. I love croissants but the flan patissier and the roulé aux raisins .. oh my God .. are sodelicious! The cherry clafoutis was just okay. The americano was amazing. The service was bad. The lady served me, and then proceeded to... serve some one else (who happened to be also my friend). I needed the coffee quickly to stave off an oncommimg headache and evenmy friend asked her to finish serving me before taking her order, but the lady didnt listen. And, there was no one else in linewaiting to be served! I had to wait to pay after she finished serving my friend, and then wait again for her to fill the cupwith coffee ( 5 minutes). She had also put the my friend's items on the same plastic cafeteria tray as my order and there wereno paper liner or parchment liner so the food was touching the plastic tray. I don't know how sanitary that was. I would haveexpected, when she knew I was planning to eat in, that the food be put on a plate straight away after removing it from the showcase. The food was only put on a plate after I paid for the items. She got confused which order was mine vs my friend's. The 2stars was for the great coffee. Everything else was substandard. This spot was recommended by our waitress while we were eating brunch down the street and I am so grateful I asked for her... recommendation. Wow! Definitely exceeded expectations?which I tend to keep quite high. Such a cute little pastry, bread,sandwich shop. Came in looking for pastries to take home for our kids and ended up getting six pastries and little sugar gummycandies. Definitely recommend a stop when in Montreal. Read more
