The beef tartar was amazing. Every dish we had was amazing. Genevieve was the best! It was loud, but we did not mind at all. ... Food was served quickly. I found at least 4 dishes that I wanted (so I have to come back). All the staff was nice. Suggestreservation; however, they sat us immediately. We went to this restaurant as part of a business function with the company I work for. We were a group of 6 with a reservation.... The place is rather classy with a warm atmosphere. It's more upscale than your regular bistro place. I can only speak of what Iordered which was a steak with fries. It was good overall and cooked as I wanted. Wine was good too and so were the startersthat we shared across the group. Service was reasonably fast despite how busy the place was. I'm pretty certain the bill wasquite high, so just keep in mind that this restaurant will also be priced higher than a "hole in the wall" bistro. A good placeto visit nonetheless. Nice decor at the dinning area. The service was amazing. We weren't able to book throught OpenTable, yet the staff managed to... get us a table. I used to come here equally for the ambiance as for the food. There was an awesome DJ that turned the place into a dance bar.... That is no longer the situation. It is strictly a Resto now. This was my 2nd visit to Mechant Boeuf and overall experience is a 5 star Our waiter was awesome, friendly and very... accommodating. We started off the night with some drinks and then ordered our meals. Everything was flavourful, delicious andvery satisfying. They're menu is filled with options everyone can enjoy. Experience here was overwhelmingly positive. Regarding food, the Steak was delicious and the oysters were fresh, of decent size,... and all the correct condiments were provided. We were here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The onion soup was the best that I’ve ever tasted. They use beef broth to make... the soup thick. The cheese in the soup was also good. They really make the onion caramelize well. The red wine that the waitresssuggested was also smooth. For the main dishes, I ordered 10pz New Yorker steak. I’d say it’s slightly above average.Nothing special. My valentine ordered the beef burger, which was SO GOOD. the patty was juicy. The buns were grilled and thetexture was soft and a bit moistened. Not dry at all ! My valentine doesn’t usually eat bacon, but their bacon was different.In the end, we had cheesecake with passion fruit. I’m not really a fan for this dessert tho.
