We've been ordering from the New System for 30years and this has been the worst order of fish & chips ever. The fish & chips... were cold( we had to reheat the meal), the fish was rubbery and tasteless, the French fries old and cold. I've had a few items from their menu, and I can say the burgers and the onion rings are very good. The fries though? The fries... are soggy greasy potato wedges, which even extra crispy are pretty flimsy. Since the fries aren't good, the poutine is also notgood. I'd be able to give a higher score if they changed their fries. Read more
Words can hardly describe how bad the chicken was I received from this place. It was the DRYEST chicken I ever had in my life .... It was so dry I couldn't swallow it and almost choked to death trying to wash it down with water. I don't understand the honeybut it doesn't help with the dehydrated chicken . I even used the entire gravy to try and soften the chicken, all 9 packs ofhoney and even dipped the meat in water and it was still dry AF the flavor is ok but I personally prefer some moisture left inmy chicken, even the bread was stale and hard as a rock by the time I got it. I Gave this place 2 chances too and it's thesecond time I ordered I received the dehydrated chicken. So unfortunate . I hope I'm the only one whose had such a horribleexperience with their food. So I was looking at the recent reviews of this establishment and what jumped out is the overwhelming sense of entitlement some... people display, only to complain about everything!! It's not funny, my cheese was wrong, the pizza wasn't perfect and on andon.... this restaurant has been serving Montreal since 1948 and that says alot. I have been a customer for years and I havenever been disappointed or dissatisfied. The food is great just ordered the 3 piece honey chicken for myself and the halfchicken for my roommate and we both were impressed and thought it was awesome!! Great portions best French fries and fastdelivery! Maybe those who have nothing better to do but complain should stick to things they know like McDonald's or kraftdinner, and loose the attitude. Unclean, poutine with shredded cheese instead of cheese curd. The most unclean restaurant I have seen in Quebec. Flies flying... around the restaurant. The first time I give one star. I have eaten here for years. I used to love the pizza. Now under new ownership the restaurant food quality is terrible. I am a... professional cook for 17 years now and I highly recommend eating somewhere else. Over priced for garbage food. Went to dine inside and ordered a breast instead they gave me a leg of chicken and asked for the fries to be turned into a... poutine.. they put everything In an aluminum container together. As soon as I peeled it opened the smell felt unusual,I took thefirst bite and got a clump of sauce that almost ruined the whole thing for me immediately. I managed to put away most of thepoutine but the fries on the bottom became soggy with watery poutine from the sauce and the chicken steam i guess. I thenstarted on the chicken...let's just say that if my fiancee made chicken like that ...we'd break up Felt like a hospital/lab madeit. Coleslaw...sour and tasted like it was mixed with saline water. My fiancee ordered onion rings with chicken breast andcouldn't even finish it, she said her chicken tasted like rotisserie left overs and the sauce had a weird hint of Cumin.
