First time coming here and it was an ok experience. The service was definitely better then the food.\n\nThe food was really ok,... not wow. We ordered quite a few dishes and the ceviche?s rice was half cooked, however after letting the server know, he hurriedand changed it for us right away. However the sauce on the ceviche was really sour.. it overpowered everything else on thatplate. The baby calamari udon was quite salty as well. It was also quite expensive for such small dishes?\n\nIt was definitelybusy on a Thursday evening so good thing we reserved! Was good hype but prob won?t come again. Thanks! Read more

This place was fun, food delicious and once they took our order things kept coming superfast. My margarita was great, strong but... very well balanced. However since the cuisine is unusual and it?s positioned as tapas we wanted to try several dishes, and Ihave to say they lack versatility a bit. It seems the chef is using the same lime-red onion dressing on half the dishes and someof them end up tasting almost the same which is a shame. I would suggest to make the menu a bit more versatile in terms ofdressing, but overall the restaurant is definitely worth trying out Read more

Amazing cocktail list and good tapas. The staff is very attentive and kind. The calamari dish had too much sauce and it took... over the main flavours in my opinion but overall a great experience! Read more

Overall very good meal but not mind blowing.\nWe had four different dishes:\n- Chirashi acevichado (Tuna, salmon and octopus... sashimi on sushi rice with vegetables)\n- Curry de Hotate (Scallops in a Japanese curry inspired sauce)\n- Hamburguesitas (minipork burgers)\n- Ribu Arequipeno (ribs)\n\nThe hamburguesitas and the ribs were clearly the highlight. The two other dishes weregood but very much lacked subtlety and it was more like the ingredients were put together in a plate next to each other ratherthan really complementing each other.\n\nWe also had 4 different cocktails, which were a bit underwhelming, especially given thevery long list of ingredients that composed each of them. One notable exception: the Sensei?s martini was really good and aperfect end of meal cocktail.\n\nOverall, for almost 100$ per person, this first experience at Nikkei left us underwhelmed, butI?d be willing to give it another go once they?ve had a bit of time to tweak things (we went there on their 3rd day ofopening).\n\nOne last note: when your menu is constituted of plates meant to be shared, and most of the people dining in yourrestaurant are couples (at least it was the case on the night we were there), maybe don?t serve plates with an odd number ofportions (5 scallops, 3 ribs, 3 pieces of salmon, 3 pieces of tuna etc..)
