At ramen Isshin, I ordered the red dragon chilli sauce ramen (red miso soup to which they add a tonkotsu broth and multiple... spices). The advertised (on the menu) level of spiciness I found accurate, decent depth of flavors, the chashu of my red dragonbowl was actually good. I did also order the tako wasabi which pungency (from the wasabi) was well judged and the chickenkaraage (not bad, not great, just ok). Friendly staff, good ambience. And indeed, one of the better bowls of ramen in Montreal.I will go back and try the vegetarian ramen, of which I heard great things. Read more

The best service in ramen restaurant. The ramen is quite yummy as well, especially the broth is thick. Would come again and... recommend to friends. Read more

An absolute must go for couples. Food is simply amazing and isn't too expensive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We went to... order Karaage, time was a bit slow but it was extremely worth it. There were 2 other couples in the restaurant, the staffnoticed this and they adjusted the ambiance and music to suit the event. We loved it. I'm going back to this restaurant anothertime. Read more

Pretty good Ramen for Mtl. Good noodles, yummy meat, delicious eggs. Portion was small and broth wasn't as flavourful as I... personally like it. However, I have an acquired taste so it's more subjective. I'd say I enjoyed it overall. Sakura Cola isOishi Read more

Went for lunch, I got the spicy red miso ramen which wasn't spicy I would not give it 1???? maybe a tip of red pepper... But... the broth was rich, there was a little sweet aftertaste I dont know why but it worked well. The noodles were great! Nice biteto them, good texture and bouncy. The karaage chicken was ok... a little more flavor would have been appreciated but theywere nicely fried. Service was ok, we wanted to eat on the terasse so we had to pick and to pay our order before going ourtable. The server was alone but still pretty effective. They put a pretty good portion of noodles. You might need Extra proteinthough in the soup Read more

Went there with a friend last week. We took a small cha shu bowl, roasted garlic shoyu ramen, okonomiyaki and mango... pudding. Their ramen broth is tasty, not too heavy, which is to my liking. The cha shu don is okay. The okonomiyaki had morebatter than cabbage in it, but it's still good. What we liked the most, was the mango pudding. It was really refreshing, thehighlight of our meal. Their ordering system was the first for us. We had to use their qr code to scan the menu, no problem. Butwe also had to order through our phone as well. I guess it's for limiting the contact and good for those who don't like toorder. Read more

Cheerful staff and authentic Japanese ambiance. If you're a fan of manga, you can enjoy the music while eating some ramen. I... loved the bamboo added to the portions I had never tasted it before & let me tell you that the boiled eggs are one of a kind. Amust try ramen shop if you're wondering where to dine at Le Plateau. Read more

You must try the Wok Fried Red Miso Ramen - all ingredients are fired up to imbue it with naturally smoky rich flavours. There... are also 15 different types of ramen to choose from and yummy appetizers. Highly recommended is the Takowasa (octopus wasabisashimi self-roll)! Read more
