This is a rock-solid all French-Canadian Diner in a neighbourhood already full of 'Le Grunge'. There is poutine and big burgers... on the grill, and a TV on the wall that shows ice hockey. Cash is king, with ATM in the back. English served on request. If youare not sprouting moose antlers through your John Deere cap in this place, I don't know what's wrong with you. Great place, recommended by a local. I got the bacon cheeseburger + poutine combo. The burger was well seasoned and cooked... perfectly. The poutine was excellent--my friend thought I would be put off by the color of the gravy, but it looked and tastedgood to me. All at a great price. Read more
Old school quebec diner. Accepts cash only at counter but has atm machine in the back. The place has singles and booth seats and... washroom for customers. Service was friendly and fast, Depending on your order it does take 5 to 15 mins wait. Portion size isalso good. Poutine is done properly! Perfect amount of gravy and cheese. But the gravy consistency is perfect!! Even when ireheated the next day it was not dry like most poutines done these days. The submarines and lasagne was good but I went back forthe poutine. One of the best greasy spoons out there, I'll be honest this is not the kind of place I've ever been without having had a bit to... drink. That being said , it doesn't take away their amazing submarines and other typical dinner food. The owner and hardestworking employee out there is Andre , an old man with white hair that barely speaks and is always there. He makes this placespecial and the food is always consistent since it's always him , whether you're there at 2 am or at 5 pm , it's him , the mannever sleeps !
