Where to start… the starter! The PEI oysters were maybe the best I’ve ever had - fresh, briney, with a hint of sweetness.... And a unique mignonette with Spanish caviar that took it to another level. Because of the unassuming pub-style décor, we expected a hamburger menu, but were very surprised at the selection. It's a... short menu with some lofty dishes. When the food came, it was absolutely exquisite. I cannot remember being served a bettermeal since before the pandemic. My girlfriend and I have been travelling North America for 3 months. This was by far the best meal we’ve had here! I ordered... the “Peking” duck (with a French twist) and she had the steak. Bungalow is a pretty nice! The staff is courteous and nice and the ambiance is pretty good. However, I need to take the time to... talk about the decor and the prices of the meals. I don’t mind at all to spend 40$ for a contre-filet. The only thing is forthose who want an experience, it might be a tad bit pricey for what it is worth. The chairs are bit old and I feel like youwould need a decor upgrade for what it is worth. Don’t get me wrong, the meals were good. But, if I’m thinking aboutsomeone who would visit Montreal for the first time, I would think twice. There other places that I would recommend over thisrestaurant. It’s good for a one time visit. But, to come back here again and again, it’s something I’m not willing tomake. Read more
