Reviews for Restaurant El Amigo in Montréal, QC
Food was amazing and inexpensive, definitely will go again.
My go to spot in the city for papusas and platanos fritos. Everything is made to order and arrives piping hot. The papusas are... massive, very affordable, and served with a lovely fresh cabbage salad and salsa. The owner is hard-working and delivers anexcellent product to his devoted clientele. This is an assuming spot in an area with no shortage of dining options. You won?tregret trying this spot for your next Little Italy night out! Read more
I think it?s pretty ok. The owner is nice, tortilla is fresh. Salad could use a bit less dressing. I feel like the decor could... really use an upgrade, seems like it?s from 1980s. Overall not bad, chicken was a bit salty Read more
Went last week with hubby and ate in. On a Friday night at 7pm in little Italy and we were the inlu people in there. That should... have been a sign but we wanted to give it a chance. The restaurant is old and dirty. The reason I gave 2 stars is because thepupusas were good and so was the seafood soup. Our main meals were alright. I would not go back or ever recommend. Too bad...great potential Read more
I came here at 1pm and was the only customer. The bread was prepared fresh but it is hard to believe that the dish itself was... prepared this week! I chose to come because of the good reviews; however, the moment I entered I got doubtful. The environmentdoes not seem clean. Maybe if the store gets cleaner and redecorated more people come and consequently the food would be servedfresher. Read more
Great food! Authentic and great value for your money. For vegetarians, I recommend pupusas with beans and fried plantain.
I got the mixed plate (cheese enchilada and chicken taco). Huge portion, good price, reasonably fast service. Only downside is... that they put the salad on the fresh-from-the-oven plate, resulting in very hot salad. Read more
I visited this restaurant for a school event with colleagues. I tried couple of dishes involving rice, beans, pork, shrimps and... potatoes. Overall, the food was good with a glass of wine. The ambience is basic. Read more
