Not sure what happened - seemed like it was only a year or two ago that the facade of this building was renovated, but now the... outside looks like it really needs a cleaning. Came in because it has a nice view of the streets. Ordered a Carmel coffee drinkwhich tastes quite good, if a bit sugary. Service is decent. Place did seem a bit dirty though (floor, windows, door) and therewas faint smell which I tried hard to ignore. Otherwise, this is like being in a greenhouse in the middle of the city ? greatpeople-watching on a nice sunny day. Chairs also seem jumbo-sized ? clunky to move around to get in / out of the seating, atleast where I was. Baristas are frequently ill-prepared to make any drinks, their workflow is abysmal and do not start making your order (even if... there is no one in front of you) for two minutes. I asked for a latte and was given what is essentially a cappuccino. Verydisappointed that I paid six dollars for something I did not want - and I will not be returning. Read more

Good coffee and pastries. Croissant with aged cheddar was satisfying. Opens early.

Like this branch, very nice and welcoming ambience, the coffee is good and the snacks are also decent (regular second cup... stuff). The staff are friendly and it?s an ideal place to work at for a few hours. Bathrooms are also clean and available. Read more

Thanks Dounia for mentioning that. I had the same problem last time I was there. I was told that they had an issue with the keys... of the bathroom and that is why it was locked and was advised to go to Starbucks next door!!!!!! (Great marketing) and by theway it was pouring rain outside, I did go to Starbucks (leaving all my stuff in Second cup.) Once back, I see a lady going tothe bathroom (she got the key from the barista). Went back to the barista and complained. She told me that she had instructionsfrom ownership not to give to the keys due to Covid19. Well to me it means they choose whom to allow to use their bathroom. Willnever go back to the place and probably never to another Second cup place for that matter. Read more

There was only one employee at the store.He was very unkind.The drink was terrible, too.Half of the drinks were frothy and... tasted disgusting.Adding ice could not remove bubbles.It was the worst service.I don't want to go there again. Read more

The beverages are OK, but the service is slow, and the products are not what they advertise. This is supposed to be a Choc?... Frette, but as you see there is no syrup or cream. The topping is just chocolate powder that I added from the counter. I can?tbelieve this was sold by the same price as a Starbucks Frappe next door... Read more
