On August 19th we were in Montreal the tourist district on st. Catherine st. Hubert restaurant was waiting in-line for... approximately 15-20 min . Line was moving well and we were first greeted by a black hostess that did not speak English so shewent and got 2 other hostess and we were told they cannot take us in as the restaurant was full . We were a 2 family group of 10peoples and we were willing to split up and I cannot believe with this huge sizes of a restaurant that we were not accommodatedfor whatever reason come all the way from Ontario this just blows my mind and people behind us were still going in ??????? Notplease at all this is how they treat their tourist that don’t speak French never will I step in to a st. Hubert again , ifthere were a 0 star that’s what I would give . Ty Read more
AMAZING. How did I not know about this ace before. This chicken, who I can only presume is called HUBERT has changed my life and... my perception of rotisserie chicken. A fork of light has shined in my direction and has enlightened me on what real rotisseriechicken is meant to be. Very CONFIDENT cole slaw. St Hubert is my favourite Canadian icon. Read more
Great service, great food and location. Food and drinks are great. I would say is the best service in that street. Never... disappoints. I wish it could stay open longer but I just make sure I don't miss lunch and have early dinners. Read more
I had the dark meat chicken dinner. Not only was the chicken done superbly, but the cole slaw was some of the best I have ever... had. For dessert I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and our server allowed me to replace the chocolate sauce for thecaramel sauce. It was great. Nice place to eat in the middle of " The Village ". I sat on the terrace today because it's a good day.The servers were working too late and the food was slow.I even waited for... nearly 20 minutes to drink water.But the food tastes good.Especially, Bangkok salad is my favorite menu. If you're planning on ordering the hot chicken sandwich, make sure you get your own peas because these jokers certainly won't... give you any. This is not the first time. While I'm at it, I'll add that I have been ordering here for a while because it'scheap. The chicken has dramatically decreased in quality. Always dry and has a funny aftertaste. If you're looking for goodchicken, look someplace else. This is just a fast-food joint trying to look sophisticated. Read more
Fries in all our plates were overcooked, hard and dry. Asked and got a replacement but it was exactly the same! How hard is it... to make good golden fries like the other restaurants of that chain? Then we were never asked if we wanted desert. Only if wewanted the bill. So we decided to skip desert and leave. We did not enjoy ourselves. Read more
Lovely establishment, very friendly staff and the best rotisserie chicken and chips I've ever had. Highly recommended.
