Secret bar hidden Jem at my last night in Montreal. My friend and I just followed the GPS, and it brought us to the black steel... door with name of the place almost blend to the same color of the door. Hostess has to bring us in and down to basement. The barlooks a cave with wooden style decoration. Drinks are very creative, and the bartender also do some other drinks that aren't inthe menu. We sit at the bar and enjoy having interesting and fun conversation with another customer. Read more
Fantastic. Innovative/tasty drinks, a laid back yet elevated vibe, and skilled bartenders. However, what stood out most was the... fantastic service. The hostess was not only friendly and welcoming, but was especially attentive and even remembered my namefrom start to finish?gave this place a hugely personal touch despite a busy night. Read more
A throwback to a prohibition speakeasy. Good marketing, with a little intrigue. First challenge is finding it. It seemed... obvious, and was, except we were looking for a location clue that was inside, not out. Entry was through a black metal doorwith an intercom. That was the obvious part. Then down iron stairs to an underground bar, relatively dimly lit, and constructedof old looking beams, etc. Barware was similarly old style, as we're the published cocktails. Great cocktails. This is my must go to place if I?m in Montreal! Great ambiance: the staff really wants to make sure you have a... great time and keeps asking how you?re doing. Hard to find better service in Montreal. Definitely coming back! Read more
Really nice speakeasy. We waited around 30 minutes to get two seats on Friday and the places was completely full. Some... speakeasies can be gimmicky, but not Coldroom. Here the cocktails are well thought out and bartenders work really hard to makeit consistent experience and very entertaining in what they do. On top of cocktails they have nice whiskey selection. Cute spot, was actually a little difficult to find because there is no number (it's the black door next to the blue teal... wall). Drinks are good, vibe is chill, it's small like every other speakeasy. Price is medium range. Read more
Amazing speakeasy with very well thought out drinks. The location is pretty easy to find if you're paying attention to your... surroundings. Ultimately, we found this place by accident, but it will be included in any future trip I make to Montreal! Read more
