Nice clean place inside. Service good. According to my husband BBQ was good. I got the grilled chicken breast entree. Chicken... was dry. Salad was great. Texas toast wasn't as toasty as I'd like but not bad. Bottom line, stick with the BBQ meals, especially the brisket. Read more

Food was a 3 star but service was 5 star so I?ll give it a 4. Pulled pork was decent but tastes like everything cooked on... charcoal which isn?t my favorite. Corn bread super cakey and doughey. Cheesey potatoes were not it. I liked the baked beans.Overall an easy spot to stop at in Montrose. Read more

Staff very friendly. Had the shaved rib eye melt with a cup of the BEST potato soup I've had in my life! The ribeye was a... little on the fatty side and not very flavorful. I had to add bbq to get some flavor. Sauteed mushrooms and onions on the meltwere excellent! The peach cobbler left a lot to be desired!! Read more

We were staying overnight at the KOA and didn't want to unhook our travel trailer. So, we walked to Jimmers Steak-Bbq out of... convenience. WOW we were amazed at how good it was. The burnt ends were mouthwatering & onion rings fantastic. The pickle frieswere out of this world good. Great service too ! Coming back thru in a week and we definitely will stop in again! Read more

I Have to say this is some darn good BBQ. They do a great job smoking the meats. There was a nice bark and real smoke flavor on... the ribs. Juicy and pulled right off the bone. My sausage had a crispy skin with a juicy center that had little pockets ofcheesey goodness. The pulled pork had great smoke as well. What i really like is they don't sauce the meat. The meat stands onit's own for sure. Don't worry, they have plenty of bottles of sauces to add it yourself if thats your thing. The Bartender wassuper nice and engaging with all her guests. I just moved to Montrose from Denver and look forward to trying the rest of theiritems on the menu. Thanks Jimmers! Read more

Very good and friendly locally owned restaurant. We were recommended to Jimmers by a local. All four of us thought our meals... were excellent. The ribs were very tender and not over spiced. All of the sides were great as well. The hostess and servers werefriendly and knowledgeable. They brought us extra plates for sharing without us asking and even though in extra corn bread. Theatmosphere is very casual and we never felt rushed or cramped. Our orders were taken promptly and our food was out before weknew it. I can really recommend this place without reservation. Good place to eat without having to spend a lot of money. I had a 12 ounce ribeye medium, it was cooked to perfection and was... very delicious. I also had the mashed potatoes with brown gravy, they were not homemade, but still good nonetheless. I also hadthe fried zucchini and onions with my steak and that was delicious, also I had the fried pickles which were a home run. Thepotato soup is the only thing I wasn?t too crazy about but I feel that?s just a personal preference on my part I wouldn?t saythat somebody else wouldn?t like it. I washed it all down with a 16 ounce Coors light and called it a night. The staff was veryfriendly and the waitress is very cute lol I recommend you give this place a try I don?t think you?ll be disappointed at all. Read more
