Wow lucked out with walking in with no line as it was 5pm. Fully staffed for the weekend holiday event in town. Met the owner... Shawn very awesome guy as well as the entire staff. Had the Cuban special of the day. Very good sandwich and decent size for the price. I had the hand cut seasoned fries for a... side. The fries were a disappointment. They may be hand cut but no way in house. Nor were they fresh. They tasted freezerburned. My coworker had the spicy chicken Caesar wrap. He said it was good but the size was maybe an 8? wrap. Very good lunch and cooked fresh to order. I would definitely recommend that you stop and eat here if your passing thru this... very small town. There is a large school nearby and the older students are allowed to walk here at lunchtime so it may be verybusy, but the staff does a super job of getting orders done in a timely manner!!! Gotta add Black Bear Kitchen to your must do for BBQ. Fourth time here, and always consistently delicious. One day I might... deviate from the ?Big Sexy? sandwich - pulled pork and brisket that both just melt in your mouth. The Kaiser roll is a perfectroll for this and it?s served with fries or slaw.. What makes me coming back is not just the good but the service The owner andhis staff came out multiple times during each visit to check on all of the patrons. You don?t get that everywhere. Cute location in small downtown Monteverde. Nice outdoor, enclosed patio where kids could somewhat roam. There's a park just... down the street to play at before/after a meal. Food was good, just felt skimpy on the fries for the meal. Read more
First time eating here, but I'll be back. The brisket tacos & fries and pulled pork sandwich were really delicious!! I will go... back and try more items at a different time of day to avoid the crowd..At first we were surprised how packed it was for aThursday at 1pm but realized it was students from down the street. It's order & pay at the counter or online and they deliverthe food to you type of place with limited tables. The service was good & friendly and the food fairly priced & tasty. Read more
