Stopped in for dinner. Food was just ok. The Ruben sandwich and the chix sandwich bottom buns were soaking wet and not edible.... Service was extremely slow. There were 8 tables sat total while we were there. Our server told us a couple times there is abackup in the kitchen. The Chicken sandwich came with a side. Really was quite amusing as there were 6 French fries on theplate. Funny????. Had to ask if this was serious. This really is sad, as I have frequented HT on many occasions, and slowlybeen watching the deterioration of service and food quality. Hope things turn around soon and best of luck in the future. We had a very good meal while sitting on the patio on a nice day. The food was very good, I also enjoyed the beer selection.... Normally when I fly down to visit my brother and his family we end up here at least 1 day. Read more
We ordered here for the first time through door dash. I ordered the chicken tender plate with fries, my husband ordered a... burger and fries. The tenders were the absolute best. Everything was yummy. The only thing is, I paid 60 cents for ranch anddidn?t get it but that?s ok. The quality and the portions of the food was great at well. Will order from here more often. We ordered Doordarsh lastnight. I got a BYOS. I started to cut up the chicken, mix it all up and stuff and I noticed something... odd. There was a dirty, greasy, wodded up receipt from someone else's order, two hours prior. At first I thought they used oneof those papers to separate ingredients because it was partially buried under the cheese. I called the restaurant 3 times and noone ever answered. The service was terrible, but can we take a moment to talk about the macaroni and cheese? It was literally the powdered Kraft. I... could see the granules of powdered cheese on the sides of the bowl. This was a ?premium side? meaning you have to pay extra tochoose this as a side. Y?all couldn?t have at least splurged on the velveeta with the creamy cheese if you were gonna charge meextra? Super delicious place to stop for lunch. I highly enjoyed the non alcoholic ginger mule, and our server was perfect and got our... orders in quickly. Food was great quickly and our nachos were beyond delicious. Bit pricy, but worth it. Read more
Sunday lunch at Hickory. The waiter did a great job and the food was excellent but when food was being served an other person in... casual close started to help him serving. Chewing with open mouth just above the plates with our food. This did not look veryappealing and they did forgot to serve one person and still since our last visit still chlorine in the water. Water that tastelike swimming pool is unhealthy and does compliment the the good dishes. You can order a small plastic bottle of water withoutchlorine and they charged almost 3 dollars for that. Next time I drop by Sam's and buy a bottle for 25 cents Like I said diningout is more then just food it's goes about an experience and serving water taste like swimming pool or overcharging for cleanwater will cost BennyPoints so today five BennyPoints for Hickory. Service started good and left immediately. Got a short pour for a single shot of bourbon but I ordered a double. At least make... it a light double. Then waited a while for her to take my food order.
